let me just start off by saying that this is my first post in about a year, so if this is a repeat, bare with me... Yesterday as I was leaving for work, an army recruiter was walking to my front door. I was sort of staring him down because the army had called earlier that day, and I told them that I was not interested. So as he was approaching my door he stopped and asked me why I was giving him a dirty look. I told him that I did not want him here, and I wanted him off my property. He asked me why and I told him that I am not interested in joining the army. He asked me why and I said that I am not happy with the war, the President, or the way things are going in general. He asked me how old I was, and I said 20 because I will be in like two weeks. He said "well you're pretty fuckin ignorant for a 20 year old." That is total BS! What right does he have to come on MY property when I told him to leave and insult me? So I said that I am not the one who is getting myself killed for a country that doesn't give a shit if I live or die. Then I got in my car, thought about running into his, and drove away. Has anyone else ever had an experience like this?
What bothered me a few years ago was that someone, probably the HS, had given my son's name, our address and telephone to the Army recruiter. They called quite a few times and sent plenty of recruiting literature. They apparently only had our PO box for an address, since a few of my son's friends had them show up at their door. They need more cannon fodder for Iraq.

How very rude of him! I have not had an experience that bad as of yet, but they do call me frequently. They acquired my number from my community college and apparently do not understand the meaning of the word "no." My parents answered the phone the first time they called when I was 16, and they informed them that I am currently under the age of 18 and would not be interested in joining the army even if I was not. I suppose they did not get the message clearly, as they still call.
In our country this is a typicall manner of insurance agents. I saw army recruiters only at the special actions like was Day of fight against fascism. There was, except exhibits of army transport, paintball and games, also tent with recruiters, but everything in peaceble form. Everything only for volunteers. I´m sick of this situation which make a governments, also I´m not in the good mood when I see that they still recruit young people also like they want to build a rocket station in Czech republic.
Dammit, I hate it when people try to push you into doing something they don't want. Especially when it's for a cause to hurt other people. They are the modern fascists, stupid ignorant hypocrits. I heard that they also recruite a lot under the native american society, and because they don't have enough means of existence, they are kinda forced to enter the army. Wich leads to again exploitation of a people that was already slaughtered FOR NO REASON. Sorry, it just realy realy pisses me off.
just tell them this "you do not want to train me to fight for i will fight for justice & the destruction of not only this government but all governments"
Tell him "A war for peace is fucking for virginity", Then tell him you will not kill innocent people because of their religion.
I have a 17 year old son and will do everything in my power to keep the war mongers from our door. Luckily he is a smart kid, a jazz saxophonist who just wants to chill will his band and try and get some decent gigs. Peace, Love, Run Naked!!
