My parents are onto me, and i'm looking for a way to argue weed isn't as bad as alcohol/cigs. any ideas??
Well man I can't give you any b/c I'm in the sam dam sucky situation like you. My parents aswell are on to me about weed b/c of the papers on cost and stuff on it. Only thing I did is lie my ass out of it. It's cruel and It isn't cool to lie but man when your in a situation like this , unless you think your parents are cool with it you have to lie or your dead!! LOL So all I can say is if you think you mit be in trouble lie to them about it if they ask all the time like mine. Say you don't do it. But if your gonna just come clean then just say hey atleast it's not a real bad drug liek cocaine and esctasy, crack and heroine. Tell them look those are the real bad drugs you should understand that atleast I'm never going to do that and tell them atleast this was once legal and the only reason they made it illegal was b/c its a drug and goverment can't tax that . (Thats true right their really about the tax part read up on it) So good luck man reply back if you confess or whatever . Peaceout!
dont try to argue it there is no point its useless and will only get u in more trouble b/c they will b just as stubborn on their position as u will b on urs.. they will just be more mad at u for being a jackass about it trust me i kno from experience
the key is to talk to your parents about marijuana useage before you get busted. not specificaly about your usage. but about useage in general and the effects. they should understand where your comming from if you serious and truthful. also it might be best to print out studys on the effects of marijuana health wise. think about all the reasons that your parrents could possiably come up with, and find truthful facts on either the internet, in books, or in mags and get hardcopys.
i don't plan to argue, as much as i do reason that it could be alot worse, hopefully getting a much lesser punishment... good advice willy. thanks.
Not much will change the minds of parents when it comes to this. The fact it, marijuana is illegal. As ridiculous as it is, it's very true. If you're caught with pot in your house, they can take your house. If you're caught in your car, say goodbye to your car. You have to be BEYOND careful, guys! Never confess to your parents...
also b/c its illegal parents do have a reason to be mad... liek the guy said above me if one way or another cops find it in their car or their house who do u think gets in trouble. them!
how old are u if ur like 17 or 18 i dont see y they should care besides the fact its illegal i mean my parents only cared because im 14 and they dont want the police to arrest me
exactly correct. i told my parents that i was gonna start smoking marijuana. my dad was cool with it, but my mum was like: "i don't want you to do drugs ". i knew she would say this but the key is to say: "mum, i had the choice whether i told you that i was gonna smoke cannabis or not. i didn't have to tell you. i would rather be open about it and let you know what i do when i'm out with friends. in future i won't bother being open about what i choose to try..." then turn to walk away. she jumps in saying something like: "no......i would like you to tell me what you choose to do. i don't agree with what you are doing but i do appreciate you telling me". now they let me smoke in my room . you'll get caught sooner or later. and when you do they'll no longer trust you.
Agreed. I discussed this with my mom, and on vacation, told her I smoke. I have to maintain a B+ average, and I can't toke inside my house.
Damn, you guys got it easy. If my folks ever found out I would be dead and buried in the backyard. At least they can't tell when I'm high. It's funny when I'm high and anti-weed commercials are playing on the tv, and they say stuff like "If I ever catch you smoking pot, I'll break your legs and shove them down your throat!". Sorry, that was a little off topic, but whatever.
