this is sort of half true. the stalking part is true completely. privacy over any technology has never been a reasonable expectation. no. it isn't something we need to feel paranoid about, so much as be aware of and never assume otherwise. what is, or wouldbe couldbe shouldbe, a reasonable expectation, is for all knowledge to be universally accessable to everyone. that includes all raw data that is collected. not just on people, but all of it. and the same tools to analyze it as are available to governments and research institutions.
Your IP address just reveals your ISP location, and of course, any information you decide to give out. There is Tor, for the paranoid. I find it completely unnecessary for something like using this forum, though (for me at least)

For starters you should all be using a pirate copy of windows registered to Bugs Bunny and steal internet from your neighbors, of course. And you're a fool if you're using any kind of banking. Really avoid cash altogether, smokes and hooch should be your choice currencies.
