Well.. writing or reading... Oh, and there's only them to answers for a reason, you non-conformist pricks; just pick one :beatnik:
i suppose that statistically, i've read far more posts than i've made. i've really never thought about it. 95% of the time, i'm doing both, so it's hard to say which is my primary motivation for being here.
Originally I was on here more to hear others thoughts; now, I find this place mostly lacking of interesting thoughts to hear, and find myself replying to anything that I don't ignore.
I choose to remain a "non-conformist prick". Neither answer is accurate, since a thorough participation involves embracing both. You can't intimidate me into choosing, and thereby sacrificing the truth, merely by calling me names, "Duck".
In this me me me me me me generation I stand with the select few who actually enjoy reading what others have to say :2thumbsup: Hotwater
^^^This, my friends, is the politically correct, "moral high ground" answer. (Not that it's particularly insincere.)
I hope I didn't malign you. I also enjoy reading what others have to say. It enlarges my world a bit, and sometimes, other parts of me as well, depending on the subject at hand (did I say, "at hand",,,,hahaha,,) I think reading and posting go together. It might be interesting to see who is more of a "thread author", and who is more of a "responder",,but still, that doesn't clinch it, as to which side we emphasize. It could well be that at different times, each of us comes here for differing reasons. At once, with a question to pose. Another time, just to have some interaction.
The Kayapo in Brazil have traditionally stretched either their lip or their ears to represent either being ready to talk or to listen. Since the modern era, almost nobody stretches their ears anymore.
Damn that’s some hardcore shit Once you’ve committed to that way of life there’s no turning back Hotwater
It does not necessarily involve embracing both equally; in heart or action The truth is that the question is about which one you're here for more .. if you are 50/50, you were left out by design. :conehead:
It's like show and tell day for pathology. I get off on seeing other peoples crazy shit and sometime flash a bit of my own ate-upness
I enjoy both but I really like to share thoughts and experiences with others...I hope it can help someone someday
Both, but since I have to choose... Share my thoughts. I think I come up with some pretty interesting thoughts sometimes. When I start writing, it might end up as a short novel, but hey, if people take the time to read it, cool. If not, it's whatever. It seems kind of selfish or self-centered, but I just like to be heard. Definitely like feedback too. It's the whole point of wanting to be heard. I like seeing people's world views too. What people have to say about what's going on in the world. If someone doesn't want conformity, I'll just run along and babble to myself. :2thumbsup:
