Bisexuals: Are you involved in the LGBT community, like forums, meetups, town hall meetings, marches, parades, etc? Are you into the politics like marriage equality, coming out, etc? Or do you just like to play with the same sex?
I cannot speak for every LGBT community so don't want to white wash everyone with the same brush. But from my experience there are some within the community that can be bi-phobic and I have been at the forefront of being told that I have to pick a side and stick with it. On another note I also have friends within that circle who are very progressive and feel that there is no place for the old guard and that Bi is a legitimate sexuality too. Maybe that goes some way to answering why no one has replied before. I don't know, but many bi people I know keep to themselves out of not wanting to be discriminated against. Least that is how it is here in Devon UK.
I keep up with the politics what with the new states legalizing marriage equality and I'm very open about supporting it. Other than that, I don't really talk to any other LGBT folks because I don't know anyone. I can't commit to another forum either lol This one has a little bit of everything.
