Personally, I'm not even going to bother registering. But if anyone is considering turning up to this bullshit event and spoiling their vote, I have an idea. Why not slip an ink cartridge in with your ballot paper and spoil a few others while you are at it? Make the trip all the more worth it. Chances are the votes you will inevitably spoil will be be from some morons anyway who shouldn't be allowed to take part in a democracy until they can grow a fucking brain anyway. Yeah, I was thinking about starting a facebook group for this, but imma scared I might get into trouble. It's not a bad fucking idea though, eh? FUCK THE ELECTION! Peace, love and anarchy. :coffee:
why would you spoil your vote tho.. . why not just not vote?? we have an "electronic voting system" here... so it wouldn work anyways haha
The idea would be to register an abstention, so your decision not to vote as a protest gets recorded in the figures in some way. Not turning up means you're not interested. You might be interested and think that political decisions are important, but feel that none of the choices represent your views...
Not turning up means I am not interested in their bullshit election. it doesn't mean I am not interested in the subsequent bullshit I have to suffer the rest of the time. I AM very interested in fucking up the whole election so as to make a statement, not that the cunts will listen anyway. They don't care what we think, they just want the x's in the boxes. It makes the whole process of democratically fucking us a lot easier. Spoiled voted don't get recorded, but spoiling a few others at the same time will turn the whole thing into a mockery, which it is already.
No-one has a clue, especially not the politicians who claim they have all the answers and solutions to the problems that they created in the first place with their politics.
Voting is a right our forefathers and mothers fought for. It's what democracy's about. How would you feel if you lived under a dictatorship and had no rights whatsoever? Party politics is often laughable but you still need to use your right to vote to help the party you feel best represents your particular thoughts and beliefs.
It really all depends on what your chosen lifestyle is as to how many rights you have. That's not democracy, that is censorship of will. I personally don't give a shit who they vote in because no matter what they say they will do they will just turn out to be another shower of cunts who do what they fucking like, pander to the interests of big business, disproportionately tax the poor, force people into depressing lives where they either exist to fill a dead end job, or sit around all day on the dole.. They dictate to us when we can drink alcohol, what drugs we are allowed to consume, where we are allowed to consume them, how late we are allowed to stay out drinking in a bar on a saturday night, what plants we can grow in our garden, whether or not (usually not) we can have a free outdoor festival in the summer. They take out money and spend them on war, when they should be spending it on health care, education, sustainability. They allow companies to pollute our land while prattling on about CO2. And they pollute our minds (not mine I went on a cannabis detox program many years ago) and they breed zombies who go around telling me that I have no right to complain because I don't vote. Yeah I am focusing a lot on drugs and partying there, but it's enough for me to hate all of them and everything they stand for. Democracy my shiny ass.
Why would anyone want to spoil their chance of getting Mr Bean out of the big chair? I am voting to get labour out dammit, I seriously cannot stand the state of our country. But seriously, don't even get me started.
for a good website if you're unsure of who to vote for is: http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/ it appears to be down at the moment, but its really good. my facebook mateys might have already seen me plug this.
You do realise that whoever takes his place will turn out to be as big a warmongering, fascist **** as Mr Bean, don't you....?:coffee: But if you want to vote, go ahead and knock yourself out. You will see in time that I am right.
That's really a stupid view to have. I know our government, and I know that there is no such thing as an honest politician. But I believe that if something isn't working, that change has to happen. Whether it's a long shot, and it probably wont help things is beside the point- without changing who is running our country we may never see any positive changes in the UK. You are sort of a defeatist, i'm just trying to be optimistic. I would like to cling on to the hope there could be somebody better. Even if you are right, it's really a hollow stand point.
No I am a realist. Voting is never going to change anything because people will not allow it. I think your opinion is quite vacant, as are most voter's opinions. I point blank refuse tot take part in this. Why should I vote for a party that I know is not going to represent me in anyway. Anyone who believes it is even worth the time taken to consider who to vote for is nothing but a fool.
Fine, fair enough. I don't care what you do anyways. I just hope to hell you're wrong, there's nothing wrong with being optimistic.
no, i will vote for the bnp. it's a safe seat for a party who i won't name, so my voting for the bnp won't put nick griffin in office and will still register "you're doing something very wrong" with the powers that be.
LOL, As racist as i may sound (and I don't want to), but I don't think Nick Grithin is as bad as people think. I mean, I agree with the guy, we do have to put a cap on immigration. I have no problem with ethnicities, but we are a small country quickly becoming crowded. There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep a sense of Britishness. I mean in South Africa white people are being attacked because of the colour of their skin. The world is a messed up place, and I am realistic enough to realise this election wont make any difference. I just am hoping it will.
oh hey he does have some ok ideas as do all of us but the guy is poison i looked into him long and hard, he's a liar, and a falsehood. he is every bit a nazi as hitler, he's just playing on the fact not everything hitler said was wrong, and neither is what griffin says. wouldn't vote for him if i thought he had a chance tho.
