Do you like the hustle and bustle of city life.....? ........Or the laid back, slower country pace ?? Which do you prefer.? And are you living your preference right now.?
I love cities. I love the hustle, food, music, people and culture of a good city. I also like to leave the city and go home to the sticks where I live where I see no neighbors, hear no neighbors and have no grid electricity.
I've always dreamed about living in the country. I just love it. Polish countryside is so beautiful! I would like to live in a small wooden house near the wood, have lots of animals, be close to nature. Live quiet, simple life. Sounds idyllic and unrealistic, I know, but that's how I would like to live. Far from ugly, noisy Warsaw! This is my favourite place:
I tend to like more calm cities, but country life would be to much for me... I really don't like being out in the middle of nowhere, though I'm sure I would enjoy the view of the stars.
Country person for sure! I have only ever lived in small towns and I love it. I am considering moving to Portland, OR though. It would be wonderful to live in a town with such great public transportation. I would love to not have to drive everywhere.
I like the country, but I need to be around life, it creeps me out to be in the middle of nowhere sometimes...I am also more afriad of country people than city people..plus i enjoy choices for entertainment and a job
That is why Arcata is such a perfect town. It is small, but we also have everything one would need. Tons of natural food stores, tons of bars and clubs, tons of movie places, tons of eating places and of course all the benefits of country life.
i think its important for hippies to develop multidimensionally as both bohemian urban types and nature coinasseurs and so this is how i've plotted my hippityness
Now I KNOW you're my dream girl! That's the perfect home! I'll buy you one just like it! I swear I will! I've always wanted to live in a little place just like that in the country just the way you described it! Exactly like that! :birds: I'll buy it for you :flowers: (us)! Yay!
My preference falls to the country, but I'd like to be near a city, because I always enjoy the fun things that can only be done in a city... Kinda hard to go club hopping while trolling if you're off in the country.
Argh... lived in both, prefer the country I suppose... but it needs to be poooooopulated country. Fuck it all, just put me near a beach.
I'm definetly a city person, I get bored when staying in the country. i love the culture and all the different kinds of people you see in a city
I have lived in the country for 25 years. For twelve years my family lived on the outskirts of the county park outside of Bellingham,Wa., and hiked out of the woods and walked or took the local bus everywhere. I guess that was the best of both worlds. We have also lived in the mountains, near the desert, and on organic farms and orchards, and we now live near the Puget Sound, a seaport in Washington State. I am starting to feel like moving closer to a city would be exciting, for this time of my life. I want to be able to take the bus wherever I go, (we only go to town once a week), and have more freedom, and meet more interesting people. My children have all grown up, and part of the allure of country life was having a peaceful place for them to start their lives. Taking some classes (yoga, dance) sounds like fun, and you find more things like this going on in the city.
i like the city...i love small towns like Sault St. Marie..god that place is gorgeous! so many beautiful things in that small town. i like the culture and flow of the city tho...i guess you could say i'm both.
I like living here on my little farm, about 10 miles from a small town. In my case, the small town has a population of only 700. But there are 4 fairly big cities, each within a couple hour round trip, important for selling what I produce. Peace, poor_old_dad
I grew up just outside a major city in Mid Michigan. Lived in the country for 23 out of the next 25. City or suburbs was ok for proximity but the ratio of angry people to cool ones was to high. I've found overall, rural people , after getting to know you, are mellower and tend to take life as it comes along. No hurry to get anywhere. There's a reason they call it the Rat Race. Hustle and bustle don't appeal to me.
