The book "Are Men Neccessary?" by Maureen Dowd, is certainly an interesting read. Anyone heard of it? I just finished it, and it has opened up my mind to the double standards and regressions of modern society as it relates to women, and how the women's movement sort of fell flat on its face, along with lots of other gender-related stuff. I would definitely recommend it to you all! ~Nova
Sounds like a feminists viewpoint. All things being equal, or not, i like men. The polite, cheeky types who would walk on fire for you and make a fool of themselves. And they sure look better with a hairy chest then chicks.
Well, are we necessary? Apart from the usual reasons, being the breadwinner, lifting heavy things and some occasional use horizontally?
Heck yeah. Without you there'd be no civilisation. There'd be far less shoes. Furniture makers wouldn't exist either. All furniture would consist of concrete blocks and planks.
I've heard about this and really want to read it but haven't come across it at the library or anything yet. I think I heard that it isn't really anti-male despite the title, before anyone gets defensive or anything! I'm pretty sure in the end her answer is "yes".
