Men are attracted to women. Women are attracted to men. It's a natural process so to say. But are gays attracted to other gays naturally? Like for example, I think this guy at work is cute. I am attracted to him. I am not attracted to any other guys at work but him. So my reasoning is, if I am gay, I would be attracted to other gay men. Therefore he is most likely gay too. Or am I just assuming way too much?
In my experience, it totally doesn't work like that. I've met guys/girls who say that they're not attracted to a guy once they find out he's straight/gay, but I don't see how that can work. Personally, my attraction for someone is based on who they are, not what I can do to them. However, in your situation, it could just be the gaydar working. Maybe he's been flirting with you and you've picked up on it or something.
I havent found it to work that way at all....Im usually attracted to the person themselve...then , I find out if they are gay or not....lots of times they arent , and I have to step back ...and build a friendship. It would be a lot easier if we were only attracted to gays.
I agree with you E and I would also add it would also determine what type of guy or gal your attracted too (if any) I'm gay but I really like biguys for example, so a lot of the guys I'm attracted too end up straight! S
I would add to that are straight in the first place, not ending up straight cause i like them, although I'm sure thats happened too!!! S
Look at it this way. I'm a straight guy who's attracted to women. Sometimes that attraction is not returned because they are also attracted to women. Man and woman are physical things. Gay and straight are words to describe a behavior, or adjectives. What the OP is suggesting is akin to a dog being attracted to a beautiful or an ugly.
to add often 2 gay men or women are not attracted to each other, just because 2 people have compatable sexuality doesn't mean that they necersally want to have sex S
oh, in a perfect world... I mean hey, I'm attracted to a (relatively) good amount of people...and I don't think ANY of them are actually gay, or at least not open to themselves or any others if they are. By your reasoning would you be attracted to people who are actually gay but haven't admitted it to themselves? Or just those secure in their homosexuality?
sorry, hate to burst the bubble, but it dont work that way. I mean, maybe youre lucky and this guy is gay. But Ive fallen for many straight guys. and unfortunately, they're straight. hehe nah, its okay, then you just gotta get over it and jsut stay friends. but I understand how frustrating it is to want to find someone who you are "compatible" with, in the sense of sexuality. i seem to fall for really cool, nice striaght guys....and I hope tehyre gay....then I ask if theyre gay and they say no, or they jsut dont ever give me "signs" that theyre gay and I just try to forget about it.
What does it mean "natural"? There are 2 meanings of "natural": in the sense that it must be like as the God created (biological level), on does it mean that it's accepted as normal (social level). In the biological sense, ofcourse, it's not natural to be attracted to men, because our mission is supporting continuity of human being, so we are to "fuck" (only fuck) women. we are only containers of God's semens. But if we treat ourself not like God's lambs, so it's as natural to be attracted to men as natural to be attracted to women. It's your own feature. Everyone (gays, straights, bisexuals, asexuals) is presented as a paket of two dual orientations: homophily and homophoby. Homophily means that U love and understand the ones who's like U (the same gender, the same profession, the same style of life......), homophoby means that for U the only possible one is the attraction of the two opposite kinds of people (different gender ....). If the percent of homophil in U is bigger, u're gay. And so on.....
Oh no, wait, I get it now (I think). But I disagree - by your logic, not only is homosexuality unnatural and against God, but the only two choices are being homosexual or homophobic. Please correct me if I'm wrong though, as I'm still not completely sure if I'm getting the right end of the stick here
