I've gotten to the point where I only eat fish and sea bugs. (crab, lobster) O'm not really concerned with what that makes me. I don't eat anything that I'd feel bad about killing. I can kill a fish with a clean conscious, so whatever. I could strangle a fish with my bare hands and not feel bad for it. I'd feel bad for killing a dog, so I don't eat dog. I don't eat mammal, and I don't feel for fish or bugs. Whatever.
well that really depends on how you look at things. no it doesn't. that's a silly thing for anything objective to depend upon or to immagine that it does. judaism and i'm guessing islam, classify foods as either flesh or dairy. and i know my jewish ancestors classed fish as dairy. but what is meat? it is the mussle tissue of animate living organisms. is a fish not a living organism? does a fish not have a central nervious system and therefore a capacity to feel pain? whether or not we should eat it is another question entirely. or what you can logicly call yourself if you do or do not. in nature many creatures eat other creatures. some eat both plant matter and other creatures. our human species is one of those. i see no problem with eating anything that doesn't eat me first or participate sentiently in the dinner conversation. organisms die and return their nourishment to the earth, or each other. our human species has an absurd collective ego to immagine itself above or appart from the rest of life and its proccessess. =^^= .../\...
Hip forums flame bait carnivors vs vegans cut vs uncut penis rep vs no rep I think its just a classic subject that will never go away
well, according to the catholic religion, fish is not classified as meat. meat is any hooven animal... according to the religion.
I really don't comprehend 'vegetarians' who also eat fish. How someone who thinks its morally or ethically more acceptable to kill a fish as opposed to a mammal or bird really doesn't register with me. I can understand people feeling more attached to certain living creatures than others and have that be a reason for not consuming them though, but I don't consider that to be a moral or ethical decision.
Meat = muscle fibers when you eat a steak from a fish you are eating a muscle in the same sense that you would be if the steak came from a cow.
Catholics aren't retarded. True catholics are god's little soldiers with a mission to define all of earth's physical treasures and enforce god's rules of right and wrong
thank you for clarifying that as i was beginning to think catholocism was the work of satan. edit - i really do think catholics are the devils soldiers that was not sarcasm
Vegetararianism got split over this almost as deep as the Catholic faith.. They agreed to disagree, so now there are vegetarians and vegans.. I'd rather define an animal as anything that has a pulse.
yeah i'd say fish are meat. and as vegetarians and vegans don't eat meat, you can't be veg and eat fish ...it's kind of like claiming to be a virgin coz you only sleep with, say, white guys. but you are a pescatarian (i think ) so yes...happy times
If it has gills, you can eat it. Fish= good Seals= no good Crab=fine Sea snake=sorry, regular lungs Frogs and Salamanders= get 'em while they're young Mud Puppies= dig in! Lungfish= damn, that's a tough one
im a lesbian by the way (i didn't post this. my little brother did. if i wasn't sick and he wasn't faking sick.. i'd beat his ass. i will next week)
so according to the religion, since a human doesnt have hooves, its OK to eat them? makes ya wonder dont it?
