not a problem i dont think. im 16 and dated a 21 year old, and the age meant nothing.

as long as you are comfertable with it, dont let societys view influence your relationships as long as you truly feel its healthy and supportive. good luck with everything!

Thanks :) I totally agree with you, as long as you get along, and all is legal, than no drama.

so it dosent bother you that when hes 96 you will only be 80?

Ive noticed that woman who prefer more mature men tend to be very together, perhaps there the ones aware enough to see the wisdom in it, after all men are slow to realy grow up and most men over 35 will admit how ignorent they were in there twenties, while woman seem to start getting a clue around 25 or so

I have been in a few and not a problem at all as long as it's not controlling or the motives behind it aren't unhealthy from either person and I can feel like I can keep up conversation wise and feel somewhat equal. I honestly cannot stand the immaturity of guys my own age...I end up wanting to strangle them and that's really not good. I like men who challenge me intellectually, spiritually and morally and strive to improve themselve's as well...that is really hard to find in a 24 year-old.

this is so true I feel like I am finally maturing and will be done in a couple of years ( maturing not evolving) but guys seem to finish that process around 30...strange men live shorter lives to so one would expect they would mature sooner...

Yeah I agree with ya Lynsey regarding young guys, sadly there are loads of them, and some older ones too, that think the world oes them something just 'cause they exist. What a shame :(

I am 6 years older than my wife.

    Ageism is bigotry.

    I like that...

There's 13 years between me and my girlfriend, but those years span over 3 decades if you know what I mean.. I'm 38, she is 52 (Haha! Now it sounds like I can't count!).

Crucially, we have disagreements based on social changes alot. I'm quite liberal and impossible to shock, whereas she, as a Catholic, still holds values from the 1960's.

Depends what ya call selling out, though,, I suppose. Each to their own :) I reckon as long as you have things in common (values some interests etc), and you respect each other as equals instead of trying to ontrol or change each other, then things should be fine. How do you two deal with differing alues, Lankymijit, compromise or agree to disagree i suppose?

I'm just tired of the feminazi bullshit that men don't mature fast enough. Mature being defined as conforming to what women want. Yes, women were not treated equally in the past but the tables have been turned now days. Men are expected to cow down to all women YET they also expected to retain the chivalrous and traditional role they have always played if they want to get laid. Your pussy isn't that golden ladies. Women on the other hand have a choice, they can play the liberated woman role when it suits them or the traditional woman's role when that suits them.
Nothing in life gets handed to you as a man. At least not to me so when I hear that crap from a woman or anyone in general, I give them the middle finger salute.
