Apologies if/when I ever annoy or upset anyone

I really don't mean to.

I do have a habit of doing... well, all of the things you've seen me do on here!

- Sometimes getting on great and everything being cool and lovely

- Sometimes saying something really controversial and/or sticking to my guns a little bit too enthusiastically on something

- Sometimes getting into massive "scraps" where I seem to be going up against half the world xD


Obviously the first of these three is how I wish it could be all of the time.

I think when the massive "scraps" start, it's usually just because... I think I do have an unusual way of seeing many things. I've been different since primary school to be honest. So I think what happens is that to me it makes no sense what others are doing and to them it makes no sense what I am doing.

Anyway erm, I just wanted to apologize for ever causing problems, promise that I don't mean to cause them and will try not to, and show that I do acknowledge this aspect of myself!

I just noticed a moment ago that my posts have gotten a fair number of downvotes recently, and it feels a shame when I honestly never mean anything negative, particularly in some of the ones that got them.

I know it's impossible to get on with everyone though.

This attitude can be annoying.

I think the e.g's you give are not necessarily the reason some people maybe annoyed.

 

erm, not that I can think of, but to be honest I have very, very few arguments or debates in reality. Thing is, I get bored of arguments VERY fast, so I tend to just go off on my merry way. Discussions where we pretty much agree I totally love, because then we can just share information without any raised voices or conflict. But the second confrontation arises, I tend to tire of it quickly and go back to something else.

That's probably why, when online, I tend to just ignore people I will inevitably clash with. Because confrontation is no fun, and ultimately there are some people in this world that you will just never really get on with no matter how hard you try. Or at least that's the way it seems to me

I'm new here, so I don't know you but if you're trying not to offend people you might want to avoid "debates" over events that occurred in the Holocaust. Even better, avoid the Holocaust altogether unless its to say something along the lines of hoping all those involved find peace in eternity.

1) Just because something is sensitive it doesn't mean we should never talk about it

2) I wouldn't bring it up unless I had a good reason

Perhaps Hip Forums is simply the wrong place to discuss it, which would be a shame because I like hippies.

 

If you can learn to focus on both the yin and the yang of a matter the discussion will almost certainly go better for you man. I've seen plenty of "sensitive" stuff addressed on this forum, it's all in how you present the subject.

Not to try and start a fire here but what is your reasoning for questioning the Holocaust? Is it just to try and discredit Israel? Or what?

This place is open for all discussion. Keep your balance, know your Way, and speak according to it.

Well... I mean of course I believe it has great connection to Israel to this day, in terms of global sympathy and so on.

I simply want to know the truth. Ultimately, Holocaust revisionism is just one of many, many branches of conspiracy theories that I have looked into over the last 10 years of my life. It also makes me more keen when it seems like somebody doesn't want me to look. It's a bit like Area 51. Doesn't it make you want to go in more, simply because you're not allowed?

I am suspicious as to why I'm not allowed to look, that's a significant part of it.

Also, I love listening to ALL people. I listen to Holocaust revisionists just like I listen to people who say they've seen aliens. I find a good way to learn is to listen, dive in, and use a wide range of sources and types of sources.

However, as I say, I am happy to not bring up these topics if it appears that Hip Forums is not the place to do it. I'm cool either way.

I am deeply caring about people. Just today I helped out a woman who was in pain by trying to find her help, giving her water, etc. Ok that was relatively rare but I was like the only one trying to help her nobody else did anything more than look!

Anyway... truth is incredibly important to me, and human rights are incredibly important to me

 

You've annoyed me with this thread, so you need to start another thread apologizing for this specific instance, rather than the lazier "whenever" version.

While you are at it, apologize to everyone for Miley Cyrus as well
