    i just found out about this threw bill maher(who is one). this most accurately describes my beliefs. is any one else out there one or ever heard of it?

    I think Confucius was one, too.

    It sounds similar to agnosticism, but with a slight twist.

    From the Wikipedia article "an apatheist is someone who considers the question of the existence of gods as neither meaningful nor relevant to human affairs." I'm not sure I agree with that. The question of the existence of gods is a scientific hypothesis, if there were any evidence for it then it would be our first glimpse of extraterrestrial life. While god may not be "meaningful" in they same way that say the weather is, if there were a god I would still want to know. Just like the big bang may not strictly speaking be "meaningful" but I still read books about it.

    i guess, like all religion, it just comes down to what you consider meaningful and personally beleive.
