Anyone go to a thrift store, and buy a $2 sweater, and unravel it? Super cheap way to get a couple skeins worth of yarn!

    yeah!

you can get some reallllly nice wool that way. :D a couple of years ago when i had negative cash inflow, i made some really warm winter hats out of reclaimed yarn.

I got 2 sweaters at half price from the local thrift store today! Unravelled them both and got a ton of yarn. 1/3 of it I overdyed, with koolaid...

    I think I have a addiction.

koolaid only works on animal fibers... so, wool, angora, mohair. it is super easy to do though!

I am in the process of making myself some nice, thick slippers from a frogged sweater.
    Winter is coming...;)
