I spent a weekend in Palm Springs and it hit 130 that weekend. It was so hot even the water in the swimming pool was luke warm.

I spent another weekend in Lake Havasu and it hit 125.

In Palms Springs it was....omg it was really high humidity...the only thing you could to is stay indoors, jump in the pool or hang out under the misters. And of course the weekend I go it was the hottest in 50 years.

Havasu was more of a dry heat and a lot more tolerable since we spent the days out on the lake.

Idk if people died but I wouldn't doubt it.

When I lived in Colorado the hottest I remember is 115, But that was comfortable compared to when it hits 95 here in Kentucky because of the humidity. It doesn't get much over 100 here, but the humidity kills..... literally. Last year was the hottest Ive seen, it reached 110 Nd several people died from it.

    Was 98 here today.

During august/september it can get up to 115.

I have also been to havasu like mike and last time i was there it was 120 and there would be random storms throughout the day and high winds. yuck

i live in florida, dont think it has ever gotten to 130 here.

but it dont need to, it's hot as hell in the summertime. hits 100 a lot, but i live near the ocean so it's cooler here than in the middle of the state. but we get lots of sunshine though. and it's alwayz humid as hell

well, that's more like what it's like here, btw, when it gets into the high 90's sometimes. last summer I spent a month in a place w no air conditioning or open windows. it was nice. was actually between 98-103 for almost two wks straight. heat wave. yay. and ppl were fainting and having all kinds of probs n ppl did die... all around here.. so that's why I had asked sm if ppl died then because it just pops into my head as how it is around here when it's hot and humid.
