anyone have experience with naltrexone?

judging by the fact that youre all chillin on the opiate forums i assume no one does but.... ive been interested in trying it out to see how it works for cravings and what not. i was just wondering about side effects and i also read that it blocks endorphins seeing as those hit the opiate receptors, and if im not getting high on dope i could use a good endorphin rush after some physical activity.

 

If you're a regular opiate user do NOT take this stuff till you're in WD's. never ever EVER. Precipitated withdrawals are the WORST. I've never used naloxone or naltrexone to wean myself off, just by accident once.

I was prescribed naltrexone when i cut down on subutex when i was 20, but i had lied at the time as i had used gear a few days before.
Anyway i took the first one and within an hour withdrawl symptoms were coming on, and by a few hours in i knew id made a serious mistake .. the next 48 hours were maddnes, i was so ill it was awefull.
Stuck in the house going crazy knowing full well even if i picked up it wouldnt even touch me because of the blocker, it was fucking haunting, and i felt i wanted to be deleted than go through the pain i was in.

But if your 7 days opiate free then its a good way of stoping you getting high, Ive just been offered naltrexone again from thee doctors as ive just stopped taking methadone yesterday, but i certainly feel right to just do it alone now, been clean from heroin for over a year, id rather be able to stay clean without a blocker, rather than " The only reason im not using is becuase im on blockers " ..

Like said if your clean before you start naltrexone then you will be fine, if your not 7 days then dont take it ..

 

i managed to dope myself up out of the withdrawals so only went through about an hour of it, but i remember thinking, just like deranger, "if i had a gun now id do it, i would end it right now." dark as fuck.

 

Yeh proper dark as fuck, the thing is even if you've not used everyday, and just used once or twice within a week before dropping naltrexone it will still put you into severe withdrawl.
As it forces the remaining trace amounts of heroin out of your brain and system, so it condenses your withdrawl so it will make it shorter but way too intense.
