Just wondering. I've always found hypnosis to be an intriguing phenomenon. I'm not referring to what would be called 'stage hypnosis' which is more a form of entertainment. .
I've been hypnotized before, in a therapy setting. It was quite a few years ago, but I remember it being pretty interesting. It was mainly just an intense form of visualization and relaxation, so as to get my guard down so the doctor could more easily get to the source of my problems. It didn't really work, as far as the therapy was concerned, but the hypnosis itself was pretty interesting.
my sister was hypnotized once at one of those shows she was really embarrassed afterwards due to what he made her do and she felt violated. i don't blame her. a guy tried to hypnotize me once, it didn't work (because i didn't want to be hypnotized), i sort of semi went along with it anyway but realised afterwards he had filmed the whole thing. i will sue him if i ever see him use it in public.
That's how I feel. I'd never participate in a stage show, because I've seen the sick shit they make you do, like ruski said. I did consider it for therapeutic reasons, to help my swiss cheese childhood memory, but some of that stuff is probably best blocked out.

Not saying it's not possible to hypnotize someone that well, but I'm sure most of the people on stage are payed actors.
