Hey , is there anyone really cool , out there from Austin ? I'm new here & I'd love to meet new people.

I lived in Austin for 6 years, in a subdivision called Texas Oaks. =) Wish I was there now.

 

Where are you now Passerby ? I LOVE it here , I've only been here for 4 mth.s , but I NEVER wanna leave

 

I live in Austin. I love it here, too. I've only lived here for 5 years, and I decided to live here the rest of my life too lol

 

Yeah , I had plans to move here...all of my good friends were relocating to here. I visited for the first time , like 6 years ago & I fell in love w/ Austin. It took me almost that long to talk my hubby into moving here, hehe....But , he FinAllY Did It ! Whats something Really Cool around here that I probably havent checked out yet...I'm all about ExPloRinG ???!!!

 

Hey, we are from Lexington, Tx, about 50 miles out of Austin. Love it here, just moved from Washington and have a little campground and bed and breakfast. If you are ever in the neighborhood, drop on in for a tall glass of iced tea.

 

all the cool stuff in austin is on the south side. north atx is pretty much full of rich, snobby white people, but the farther south you go, the more relaxed it is. central atx is awesome, too, just expensive....my favorite place in all of austin is the Planet K stores...I love them.

 

1955~ That sounds Awesome, I may have been in the neighborhood yesterday...but TEXAS is Sooo BIG so there's no telling. I just came back from Denver & I drove through Dallas & Waco etc...is it near there ?

420~ what are the Planet K stores ?

 

the PK stores are headshops and sex shops....they're really cheap, too, as far as headshops are concerned....plus, there are only 3 stores, and all of them are in TX, so, it's not a huge conglomerate evil machine....

lol, that's alright, my 29 year old brother had to ask me too...
I was wrong earlier when I said there were only 3 PK shops...there are 7, 4 of which are in austin....one at 9407 N. IH-35, one at 116657 Research Blvd., one at 2007 E. Riverside, and the last one's at 1516 South Lamar...

I lived in Austin for a while, and am looking to move back if I can find a place that is damn cheap rent for a month or so whilst I medical research my way back into cash. .....Hint Hint anyone, c'mon anyone? Hint Hint.....
Planet K on South Lamar always seemed a chilled place. I liked hanging out in the Half Price Bookstore nearby where the staff never seemed to mind people sitting and drinking their coffee whilst thumbing thru the books. Another place I liked to chill was the jackalope - movies on the tv and a beer and other drinkers chilled enough to just let you hang on your own without trying to start fights or bother ya or anything.

Probably saw me in there once or twice over the past year then, I would have been the English guy at the back bar, getting drunk on his own on NewKie Brown and watching the movies whilst smoking himself to death.

 

Haha , Ashers & I went there like a week ago & sat at the Back Bar for a few drinks. I just love that place , it's so chilled out , ya know

 

I've lived in Austin a few times. Now I'm in west Texas... Austin is much much better.

 

i'm thinking of moving there. when i have some money. i need to get away from where i live now
