i'm working on socks right now. it's really too hot to work on much else, so socks it is. that and socks are just so darn portable and 'brainless' i can take them anywhere and keep at it. and i can try out new stitches/patterns/ideas and not feel too bad if they're turning out like crap and i have to rip them out and start over. here are some plain jane socks:

i'm also working on a cotton cardi for my mom. it's taking forever, but i will get it done eventually. here's the back of it (complete! yaaay!):

    I knit. :D

I haven't tried socks yet, but I have plans to before winter..;)

That cable work is awesome....and I really like the colours on your socks...

I'll try and get a pic or two up later, my man has the camera with him at the moment...I've made a hoodie and am working on a sweater/coat made with 5 strands at a time on 15mm needles....the pieces are made, it's just in the process of sewing up. :D

I love knitting. Here are my most favorite creations!!

    from top to bottom:

black sweater, made out of a flat yarn, it's kind of transperent, and has bell botom sleeves. I made it for the farewell mass, at my school, 3 years ago.

    fairy-like coat, with bell-bottom sleaves

sleaveless top to go over a shirt!

sleaveless top with a hood. I modified the hood a bit, so all my dreads can fit in!

sleaveless top, out of ver thick red sheeps wool. I really love it!!!

My grandma taught me to knit when I was little, but I forgot for a number of years. She taught me again when she was in the hospital. I love kniting, and recently learnt to crochet. I am not one for patterns though... I have serious number issues. I would love to attempt a sweater, or one of those grandpa-cardigans... might have to do that this winter!

Speaking of patterns, I saw the neatest book today when I was at a library book sale. It was full of these sweater patterns, but the sweaters had landscapes knitted into them in different colours. Like, there was one sweater that was called "New Mexico", and it was all in burnt oranges and browns and had all these awesome rock formations knitted into it. Another was called "Vermont" and it was a winter scene in whites, beiges and blues. I was awestuck, and almost bought it just because I might someday be that good! My husband, who only wears black t-shirts, said "Bill Cosby wouldn't even wear those sweaters". hahah.

Kastenfrosch - omg. your creations are lovely!!! especially the fairy-coat :D!

thanks for the compliments on the tat. it's just a tat. no real meaning behind the design... i just fell in love with it (it's the only 'flash' tat i have).
