i see alot of posts about ppl wantin to live off the land or in communes or watever it is and for like 3 years iv bin thinking the same. i want to live in the wilderness, growing or catching my own food and just being happy being with nature. but this will be very hard where i live in scotland. the UK is completely covered in cities, towns, busy roads etc...and i dont want to leave it though.

my plan rite now is to try and get a job and save up money for some raymears courses which will tech me how to adapt to wildlife living and will help me to gain skills ALOT. then i want to save up enough money to see me through at first in the wilderness until i can settle. i want to travel round the whole UK until i find the perfect place for me which would probably be a nice valley in the highlands where i can get peace.

i really like this idea but rite now i have alot of problems with society and advice given by every elder i meet. basically they hve planned my life like a dull timeline- work your ass off in school, work your ass of in colege, work your ass off in a job the rest of your life until you die. work work work? does that leave any time to acually enjoy life and the things and people around you? society is just wrong. so many different groups that are so narow minded they will smash your face in for walking past and where i live this happens alot. its shit. and especially at my age i find it hard even speaking to anybody else my age because theyre just so incredibly thick or blind. every1 else my age lies to themselves and everybody around them, they compete to see who can be the ost random and funkiest person but theyre really all twats. and most ppl older than me wont take me seriously as soon as i mention me age. i was partyin a few weeks back with a few 18-20 yr olds and i fit rite in with them straight away and sat up til 8 in the morni smokin gange heavily and just havin a gd chat and none of them believed i was 15 and have envited me out with them quite a few times since then and its the first time iv actually bin able to fit in with anybody.

but back to the point...i do rly want to live more free, not stuck in a crappy job the rest of my life. my ideal home would e a cave, with a small fire, a few food plants and a few weed plants and thats me. it just sucks being 15 and not being able to do very much about my own life rite now. but living off the land is what i want to do and ill have to find a way in the UK eventually. i mite consider traveling parts of america or something but i think ill always return to scotland because its my birthlace and i love it to heart.

it will take a few years but i plan on making the most of my life and enjoying it the way i want to. iv got a whole life ahead of me and i want to spend it finding out who i am and enjoying it. its what most ppl look for ayee.

well if you have read this cheers ayee

I know exactly how you feel. I remember that I felt strongest about this when I was about 14 or 15 as well. I remember bringing myself to tears thinking about how I was inevitably going to grow up, be forced to get a job, and then...die.
I'm a perfectly sane person. I go to school, have friends, and listen to music. But I still harken back to that feeling. It's not as strong as it was back then (I'm 18 now...), but unlike you, I feel like I have a calling in life now. I'm hopefully going to study stuff I want in university, and hopefully meet more people like myself.

I also want to see as much of the word as possible...mostly Scotland (coincidence? lol), Britain, Ireland...I just want to explore outside my boundries and find myself while doing it

All I can offer to you is this: follow your creativity. Try and find others with the same dream. If you can't, then don't let it discourage you. Just be careful, and live life. After all, you only have one

    :)

Props to you dude! You should def go for it....and it's good you're thinking of this so young (I, too, was the same way....still trying to figure all my shit out now!) Find a way of life you love and just roll with it....

    cheers ppl.
flaming pie thanks and if you ever want to explore scotland with some company message me =D

and rebelsoul thanks again dude its great to find positive feedback coming from ppl on the same wavelength. at the moment iv been encouraging myself to get into new hobies like crafting jewlery chck out jewerly forums to find my stuff. i want to get ito stuff like tie dye and anythin just a bit diffirent really. im enjoying life at the moment as much as i can at this age bin with my gf nearly 8 months, have a laugh with her and pals n shit so its not as if im 1 of those depressed teenagers you see every day. i dont see why ppl have to be negetive about life. and as for going to tears about it? im a strong minded person and although my emotions are still growing i never find myself truly upset and nothin will bring me to tears so im just dandy rite now ayee

enjoy life, especially with a dooby in your hand and big grin=D

I often have felt the same way. All people have to find their own path in this life. However, education and careers are not always that bad. I am a public defender, and I spent the vast majority of my life working very hard in schools. Now, I spend most of my days working very hard, and I love almost every second of it. I love working hard to prevent injustices in society. Right now, I am reading tons of legal cases to prevent a guy from facing a mandatory minimum prison sentence for having marijuana. He was stopped and harrassed just because he is black. Great way to spend my Saturday night huh? But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Of course, I wear a suit to work every day, and I am certainly a part of Babylon now. But I love fighting to make the world a better place. Find what you love and go for it. Your path may be different than mine, but don't count out college. College can lead to wonderful opportunities that will put you in a position to change the world. We need hippies in positions like that.

I hope you find your path, and you find happiness . . .

it sucks when you can't skip your way through a park, hand out flowers or give hugs without being "suspicious"

believe me..i know and i feel your pain. we all do. oh well, we have to make the best of this beautiful life..and what better way to do that than make life a little more beautiful each day!

its not a pain, just a disapointment at what the world has turned itself into. nobody apreciate special things like nature, intinctive and love. i cant claim to know the answers to any but im going to spend my life learning.

exactly. wow, you are the first person that has ever put anything i've said into better words..thank you. i've been waiting for someone other than BentherDondrat to do that.
you are one clever person and i'm glad to know you.

nobody wants to spend time going back to the roots of exsistance, to look at our animality and evolution. they have tunnel-vision...and people ask me why i don't watch the news...lies..i hate lies.

aye totally. ppl are too busy creating worlds of their own to appreciate the one we live in. its mainly due to greed. they have no line of sight and are blind to what really matters.

oh man, i agree!-last year, my family thought i was insane when i blurted out "i want to live in an apple orchard one day."
i really really really wanna live in a commune someday, someplace AWAY from society where everythings routined and "normal".
i cant live in society! i mean, what IS the fun in that?

wel its the only ife available to most ppl. if what they are brought up to think is right and they end up completely ignoring basic humanity and nature. they hide theyre emotions behind money and lies.

    am i invited???

i wanna be happy for the rest of my life, not afraid or angry. you know?

and money, the worst cultural, economical and social invention known to man. Money is why wars start, my friends, that man wasn't lying when he said " Money is the root of all evil." it truly is. and it's a shame.

you should spend your life getting to know your brothers, sisters and this earth; NOT by buying and selling until you keel over in the stock market.

Because I'm a rat, I naturally tend to prefer the outsides for a view on the inner workings of an organization of activity.

I chose exile from society to actually learn about it.
Ever since then, I have never once been disappointed with myself...ever.
When the walls seem to close in, become that which the walls can not imprison.

Because in both name and birthdate, that I am contrary always, the things that shrink in my scope as distance between myself and the idea grows, that rat in me picks up keenly to scrutinize it.

Because I am an ox inside, my insight does not fail me.

Because I am a dragon in secret, my luck and confidence is ever endearing.

Because you feel society confines you, get to know yourself better again and again until you speak the fluency of stride.

Whatever works that was my point sorry
I also added more for clarity.

I can tend to be too philosophical, because it's what I believe in.

At any rate, I hope it helped, I meant no harm.
