I was a bad kid.I used to steal coins from my Mother's purse as a kid.Later I would also steal cigarettes...Anyone else admit to doing this?
We did as kids but not in a totally thriving way. She talked in her sleep and once we figured that out we would ask her when she drifted off on the couch after work if we could borrow 5 bucks. She would say stupid things like "Ya, if you make me a peanut butter sandwich", Yup, easily done, she could eat it later when she wakes up and we got our money. Later we didn't bother doing what she asked because she didn't really want it, she was just being nice and allowing us the money, in her sleep,,, in later years we admitted this and she laughed, tis why she would think she had bucks in her purse but she really didn't have what she thought she had sometimes. My brother figured this out first and I saw him do it,,, what a genius he was. We rarely had to beg for it, just wait till she snoozed. Snooze, you lose,,, My dad would leave his smokes and some money on top of a cabinet in the living room and we found that source as well and slightly robbed it now and then. Booze, homemade wine was lined on the ledges going down in the basement, caught my brother adding water to a bottle one day and yup, we were in on that one too, hee hee.
I did much worse.I really shouldn't admit this...But I "borrowed" my Mum's debit card one time and withdrew £250 from the ATM to go to a festival with my friends...Boy did I get a bollocking for that! I have always had a problem with my kleptomania...
There was a period in time both me and my brother took small amounts of money out of our parents purses on a regular basis but we always regarded it as a loan and put it back later (if not planned at first instance than we came up with it later out of guilt :biggrin. My conscience is clean
Only once, felt so bad that I never did anything of that kind again. Cept for probably torrenting which im very uneasy about - yay for Netflix. I don't do well with dishonesty.
We babysat, mowed lawns and shoveled as well for extra bucks. Our parents didn't have an issue giving us money as long as we showed we'd work for it too. I even walked a lady's dogs for a year or so at one place we lived and she paid me money for it.
Oh man, when I was 13 I found my mom's stash of rolled coins, took two rolls of quarters. Headed over to the bowling alley and met up with friends. Bought us each a pack of smokes (only .50 back then) and then we hit the pinball machines. About 30 minutes or so later I'm standing there just having a great time playing a machine, a couple of friends standing on either side of the machine. Suddenly I noticed my friend looking past me, all the blood drained from his face and the cig dropped from his mouth. I slowley turn around and there is my dad standing right behind me, all 6' 3" of pissed off muscle, my cigs and rolls of quarters sitting on the pinball machine. Needless to say I didn't see the outside world for a while
I never stole money as I was always really conscious of my mom's tight budget, I actually felt really guilty even when she offered to buy me things. However, I did steal her xanax a bunch of times. I finally got busted and she stopped taking them shortly after, I think it made her feel like she was setting a bad example.
parents had polar water bottle filled with coins and cash.. never missed it. mothers purse was nowhere to be found. still this way today.
If that's all that happened You were lucky. When my parents caught us smoking they made us sit and smoke with them. You had to inhale a huge one and hold it in every time till mom said "Let go" By the time I had a whole smoke with her my head was spinning and I was ready to puke, hahaha My brother ratted me out because he got caught.
What? Did all mothers do that? I thought my mother was cruel and wicked, trying to make me puke my lunch up from the day before
Don't think my parents ever punished me (in the sense of making me do things or controlling what I can or cant do), and I think I turned out ok :mickey: It was just mostly yelling.
Well, yes, of course I did. However, I don't feel bad about it because that was another time and I'm not the same person I was back in 2012 . . . early 2012.
not after my sister stole $50,000 from my dad, that shit wasnt cool and I cant really stand any stealing
