The driver of the car said he didn't care that he hit the bike.

The ultimate example of the main problem with this country....fuck you, me first.....The biker obviously didn't care about his passenger any more than the driver of the car.....speeding and passing on a double yellow line.

Thats what happens when two ignorant fucks meet on the highway.

both the biker and the car driver feel like they can do whatever they want

    that was dumb

he'd have a better chance with most judges if he went with the "my window was open and that fucktard on the bike with the noisy exhaust startled me" defence

go what on video illegally passing and accelerating at a high rate of speed and an idiot old man teaching the biker a lesson of the road the hard way

maybe next time they will ride their bikes proper

old man was in the wrong but only a matter of time before the biker is killed doing that shit in the first place

Totally agree with orison! And I ride.

Morons on sport bikes acting a fool, old asshole with an attitude.

The only I would add is why does the guy with the GoPro walk right past that girl to confront the old guy? He had it on video. The he goes and picks the guys bike up. The rider, doesn't seem to concerned with the girl either, he is on his dang phone. Lastly...all those women standing there and not ONE helping...not one. WTF???

    Did anyone else notice that?

Once was driving north on interstate 25 from Albuquerque to Santa Fe doing about 68 miles per hour in the right lane...another car went by me in the left lane at about 75 when a motorcycle decided to go between us doing more than 100 miles an hour...scared the shit out of me....made me swerve to miss him....had he not made it, it would have killed him, me, and the car next to me, plus caused a multi-car pileup. That road is always very crowded. And there are way too many people that drive 80 miles an hour less than a car length from each other. That's why there are so many 50 car pile ups.

I bet the motorcycle driver in the videos doesn't try it again. He should have been charged with reckless driving, endangerment of his passenger, speeding and passing on a double yellow line. The driver of the car should do a year in prison just for being a dickwad.

I agree...the rider is at fault also and the rider should be charged for speeding and passing in a no pass zone. Plus, if they riders assume for one minute they can sue the guy, or his insurance? I doubt it...fault on both sides.

    Loving the driver's logic

"that biker is doing something that has the potential to cause him and his passenger an injury. In order to teach him a lesson, I will now deliberately injure him and his passenger."

I'll remember to stab the next kid I see running with scissors, gotta do me civic duty.

    Fuckin 'ell.

    Errr bicyle riders too

Here in Sydney theres a campaign against car dooring and keeping one metre distance from cyclist

Retarded, they are the dumb shits doing 40kmph in heavy traffic without any protection and inches away from parked cars, but its the car/truck drivers are supposed to be the ones to be on the look out

I used to ride motorbikes, i would never pass a truck on either side in the same lane, too much of a blindspot, but i see this happen all the time

Most riders may or may not know all the road rules, but many would have no clue about the legal repercussions, cyclists certainly seem unaware.

On the news you here a cyclist or motorcyclist gets killed, what you never really hear though, is that months or years later often that rider will be deemed at fault and have to pay costs through his or her estate

I always travel at least two car lengths behind bikes, really pisses me off when there is a biker driving proper and a mofo closes the gap between me and biker. Ive given this space for a reason,( assholes) yet, they travel behind biker like the biker are in a cage wtf!!! ive been behind a few bikes that have lost control from the wind alone and fallen, rode rash was all they got.. anyone closer than I drive, people would of run them over in a second.

Ive no sympathy for this guy, sad for his passenger cause they dont know just along for the ride/ but biker should know better with another person on the bike with them. whats the gd hurry, still arrive in the same place..

The biker passed illegally, however there was a clear highway for some distance, he would have made it with no problem. So he will probably be cited for illegal passing and possibly speeding.

The car driver is in deep doo doo, I would think. He could be charged with crossing the center line, reckless driving, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, at the least.
    That's a a couple misdemeanors and a felony offense.

It's nice when cars understand and keep their distance when behind bikes. We have had cars get right on our ass before, that's why I carry a pocket full of pennies for such occasions. :)

Also amazingly stupid is when you are on a ride with a big group and a car pulls in between the bikes! They usually end up freaking out and want to pull over, morons.

But still, many irresponsible bikers too that push the limits.

I've have been down...in a bad wreck about 6 years ago. Nothing like hitting the pavement at 45 mph.

I'm not 100% convinced it was intentional. On the assault charge, there is reasonable doubt. Unless he outright admits he swerved to hit the biker. I love how nearly everyone jumps to lynch mentality and assumes he is 100% guilty. There's a good chance he is guilty but also a fair chance it was unintentional. The car driver did look like he was rubbing his leg or butt as he was getting out of the car before any exchange of words. Not caring about an accident victim is not an admission of guilt. It may be disheartening but holds no relevant proof of anything. Grumpy old men who don't care about stupid kids is not exactly unheard of. What are the odds that this old man was actually watching the bike in his rear mirror? The bike pulled out from behind an SUV that was between them, the old man had two seconds to see the bike and make a decision to swerve and time his supposed assault. If it was intentional then he's got damn good reflexes for an old man and rubbing his ass before "making up" the bee sting excuse is brilliant and fast thinking. Good thing the biker got it all on film for the jury to see openly and objectively with reasonable doubt in mind!

I admit I’ve been tempted a few times to sideswipe a motorcyclist swerving in and out of traffic; but resisted the temptation

I'm mind boggled by how many bikers and pedestrians have so much faith in all the drunk drivers not to hit them. I constantly see people walking down the roads with their backs to traffic like, "They won't hit me." On top of that, there's those on cell phones, texting while driving.
