Has anybody come across a coffee shop with arcade machines or an X-Box or PS2 or even PC monitors offering gaming, etc. I'm not talking about those basic 'Photo Play' machines you see in the corner though, just good old classic arcade machines. Are there any venues or other places that has them.? Cheers for any help.

I notice the majority have pinball machines. Some place with the word Mellow in its name had a cool old school pinball machine. Its located on the edge of the RLD closest to the Dam Straat.

Mellow Yellow perhaps. The sign was yellow with a smiley face.

Cheers mafuman. Yes I've seen loads of pinball machines dotted about too. It's just a shame that the nearest they get with classic arcade machines is their 'Photo Play' machines, but the annoying thing is that they don't pay out if you win or do well and wheres the fun in that. I'm sure I heard somewhere that a coffee shop has a PS2 set up but not sure which one.

I'm not sure but I have read that somewhere has either a PS2 or a Xbox, I'll do a bit of research and get back to you, when are you going (I'm back for a couple of days in December)

    Jon :)

    Cheers Jon

Wish it was sooner but I'm not off again until early Feb. I read somewhere too that a coffee shop has a PS2 or X-box. I'm still looking myself.

A good serious pool players bar/coffee shop is 'Nes Cafe'. Opens late though and is always packed, both with locals and tourist's.

I'll ask around and see if some stoner friends know any - I never paid attention to video games / consoles in the many Amsterdam shops I've been, so I can't help you on this one myself :)

Cheers MonoMike much appreciated. Finding arcade machines or consoles in UK pubs are fairly rare as well, but they do exist. IMO A'dam would be an ideal place to have them and can't understand why no one has latched onto this fantastic idea. Somebody told me that 'The Blues Brothers' coffee shop may have something, but I've never been. Has anyone else.?
    Cheers

The Last Waterhole has pool tables and live music every night.
No cover, drinks, dealer. Good place. I think they're opening
a second one in Leidesplein. Hope their not closing the RLD
    one, though.

The Last Waterhole in the RLD is allready closed. The same owners opened The Waterhole in the Leidseplein (in the old Bulldog Sports Cafe) with some of the same - pool tables, bar and live music every night and no cover. But they are no longer a coffeeshop, but it's OK to smoke your choice inside.
