no backcombing or wax or anything just letting them be and natural soap and that type of jazz
i see people with like 1 month dreads backcombed and they look great
and i look at mine im like pooey lol

i have mine at 3 weeks just surfing and just leaving my hair be and im just hoping for them to lock soon or whatever how long does it take to start seeing them
im not in a hurry or anything just wondering if it will be a month or two
some stuff is knotting up a lil i want to get a wool beanie to speed it up
i would post a pic but camera is broke
    well thanks
    peace

it will probably be more like 3-6 months...and even then, you won't have a full head of locks....probably 10 or so.

without any caring in the sense you are talking about,,, ,,, you are talking about a year or so before most of your hair is dreaded and then still have fly aways n loose ones,,,.. it is a much messier process over back combed , n rolled etc,,, completely different type of dread as well... ,, you should start see in more results with yours in the next couple just dont forget to rip them:)months

if you are just leaving your hair, not doing anything to it i guess its gonna take a long time before you see some results. But it depends from you hair type really. if you have straight, thin hair you will have to wait longer.

i can tell you about the back of my head :D
i back combed it twice and twice it fell right out, not a single knot :(
so i left it to go natural....
for a month or 2 nothing seemed to be happening, then i found 1 tiny tangle literally just a few hairs caught up together. then WHAM! those feckers turned to dreads soooo quickly!
within 2 months the ends were round and everything!
they are still a little loose at the roots, but they are so fab!

I'm about 5 or 6 months in natural, i've lost count, and i'm fuzzy on when they started hahah,
But like said before, i've got a max of maybe 10 'locks', otherwise it's just matted hair and loose hairs,
It's a whole patience game, i just slip on my beanie for the most part.

    sweet i can't wait
my journey with dreadlocks is teaching me to be more patient
    in life lol
everyday i wake up and shake my hair and look for dreads lol
when it hasn't been long at all
i feel like how have i lived without them all my life
its just exciting to see what your hair does naturally
lol i may sound like a cook oh well haha
oh yeah btw im getting a new beanie
should this one help my hair knot up a lil faster?
