Hi. I really need some help on ways to relax. For the past 6weeks or so I have been exausted, always wanting to sleep and sleeping but still feeling tierd, no motivation to do anything. I know everyone might say I need to go doctors but I think its just all down to not being able to relax enough.
I haven't been having dreams or anything like since feeling this way and I knind of miss them lol!! and also I really think we have been having a visitor in the house recently ( a picture moving, furniture has moved, things have gone missing) and I think if I really put my mind to it I could find out who and why is doing it. I have been able to get information about a spirt at my in laws house (father in law was impressed about the discription, neither of them knew I gifted and mother in law still dont know) and was hoping I could do here but I can't if I dont relax enough. When ive tried i've just fallen asleep lol.
I have read that for a object to move the spirit uses the energy from someone and it can cause them to feel tierd, i'm wondering if this maybe the case??? Or am I just overworked and lost the plot through lack of energy reboostment?? lol.
    Any suggestions??

Vodka works pretty well for me. ;)

But I can't recommend it, of course...that kind of cure brings problems of its own.

Maybe somebody has a more spiritual solution...

There are a number of things you can do to "recharge your batteries" and relax, while renewing your natural protections and leaving you less vulnerable to pschic influence.

Exercise has been mentioned, and I want to repeat the enthusiastic endorsement of a regular practice of aerobic exercise, especially whole-body exercise like swimming, for physical, mental, and psychic renewal.

Yoga means "union with god" and refers to a number of practices (not just the asanas, or poses) for spiritual renewal and expansion. Keep your spine flexible. You may want to look into yogic breathwork, or try practicing sun salutations on a regular basis.

PM me for some links to good yoga sites, including yogic breathing, the sattvic diet, and some pages of helpful kriyas, or yoga sets for flexibility and relaxation.

During a period of intense stress when I was in college, I made a thrice-daily practice of progressive muscle relaxation.

In applied kinesiology, there is a wonderful series of 4 activities, developed I guess by Brain Gym, called PACE. When I took my practioner training seminars, we began every session by running through PACE, and sometimes again after lunch if we were scattered and distracted over lunch. PACE is like resetting your system. You can learn about PACE here: http://esl.about.com/od/englishlessonplans/a/braingym.htm

PACE is wonderful to practice several times a day.

If you have an ongoing problem with stress and negative energy, you might want to consider looking into EFT, or the Emotional Freedom Technique. They have a new certification process, but you can download the free manual from the website to get started.

In addition to that, I would remind you to pay careful attention to your diet. Avoid meat and heavy foods for awhile, getting plenty of whole grains and fresh vegetables and fruits. You might want to eat raw for awhile, fast (if you're knowledgeable on how to do so safely and wisely) or do a system detox. And the importance of clear, pure water cannot be over-emphasized. Make sure you're getting plenty of sleep. You may want to consider warm baths, or aromatherapy. Lavender is an excellent healing and relaxing oil. Neroli is more expensive, but also a great relaxant.

Lastly, for periods of intense stress, try Rescue Remedy by Bach. Rescue Remedy is a homeopathic preparation of a combination of 5 flower essences that are very effective for stress. I use them to stop my daughter's tantrums. I also used them to combat the traumatic stress when my house burned down. It is a essential part of my holisitic "first aid" kit, and like aloe gel and lavender oil, is considered so basic and effective I never let it run out! You can find Rescue Remedy in health food stores, new age shops, co-ops, and sometimes in the natural foods section of large supermarkets.

The relaxed state is what is natural and without effort, beneath all the manufactured stress that we pile on top of it. A relaxation technique may be well and good for the short term, but won't address the underlying stress that will continue to surface time and time again until it's dealt with directly.

This is true, but since we are all kind of stuck in the earth plane for now, I think that a good practice will incorporate both short-term relief and long-term maintenance. Some of the practices I posted such as hypnosis, (did I mention hypnosis? I should have mentioned hypnosis!) yoga, dietary changes, and applied kinesiology have both short- and long-term effects, depending on the kind of stress.

Ultimately transcending all stress and being in an enlightened state would be ideal, of course, but the truth of the matter is that we're all here because we're not all there, if you take my meaning.

There seems to be a belief among many that enlightenment is something that is far away, a long time off, a process that requires a great deal of... something or other. And that in the meantime we must settle for these other methods.

That's all very well if one wants to settle for something other than true freedom, especially if one really believes that freedom is something difficult to discover in the present moment.

And even as one reads these words the mind will be quick to dismiss them... "yeah yeah but I can't have freedom NOW, no matter what you say".

And what I'm suggesting is that yes we can, have freedom NOW. Freedom from all stress and all the stress-making tendencies, such that superficial techniques become unnecessary.

But one must be at the point of truly being done with all the inadequate methods. One must be ready to say I WANT FREEDOM NOW and will settle for nothing else. There must be that passion for truth, a willingness to SEE, and a refusal to waste any more time keeping freedom at bay.

And I'm not suggesting that we should want complete freedom. We either do or don't, yet. The question is... have you had enough yet? Enough suffering? Enough of pursuing short-term methods, short-term pleasures, short-term anything? We must all face these questions within ourselves. Not to answer this to another, but to answer this at the core of ourselves, while alone and in the space of getting real.

I acknowledge all of this. But as much truth as it has, the fact remains that most people don't do it, and won't do it even if they're aware of it.

Are you suggesting an all-or-nothing enlightenment solution to the earth trip? Either take that simple step to let go, or don't do anything at all to make that voluntary burden any lighter?

I get what you're saying. But the truth is, we could both of us shout it from the mountaintops, and there would still be those who would choose suffering. Are we not to have any compassion to do what we can to lessen suffering?

Because I hate to tell you this, sister, but neither of us have mastered putting that into practice either. We're on the earth trip too. And we can't preach our way out of it.

The fact that they don't do it means they're NOT aware of it. Having some idea, intellectually, of what they think this means, does not equate to being aware of it, because true awareness brings freedom.

What I'm suggesting is that realization IS all or nothing. Anything else is simply a delusion that something else will bring relief. As long as there is faith in inadequate measures then what we continue to experience is imprisonment.

And the earth trip... what is that? Is there a belief that enlightenment somehow takes one out of the earth experience? If that is the belief then freedom will continue to be kept at bay. There's nowhere to go, nothing to escape from. Freedom is here and now, whether that appears to be on earth or not.

Compassion is what drives one to tell the truth such that complete freedom from suffering is possible.

Preaching without genuine realization of what one is saying is inadequate. Sharing the truth is helpful for those who are ready to hear. Those who aren't ready will dismiss it.

Suffering is good. It fuels great stories and some nice poetry, and gives us something to complain about.

Yes dear. ;) Suffering also opens us to experience the delicious warmth and comfort of a long, heartfelt, loving hug.

I'm sending one to you now. With my love, SweetBriar.

Look above; stalk and sweetbriar are near the truth,..any excercise will work your chakras*, even walking-the better ones are yoga tai chi swimming etc. Ultimately you need to stop the loss of energy (who is draining you?) and learn to work with energies.

A regular walk in the woods or similar will also allow you to absorb natural energies whether you know it or not although it is best done with the will. We can go beyond rituals and potions, learning to feel and work with the subtle non- physical energies of your self and your environment. * Chakras are NOT pretty wheels of light they are connections between your physical and non-physical body which pass information/energy. Space here does not permit more detail but i am happy to share/discuss any paranormal subjects with genuinely interested parties. andenergyworks@msn.com
