any one know how to post to Craigslist

This is driving me crazy. All I am trying to do is post an ad to sell my car. voice verification didn't work. finally got to post a couple of adds using tor for Android but now that does work at all. can't even get CL to come up with tor, it blocks the site from even loading in the browser.I wasn't spamming or anything like that. posted one ad every other day! that worked for 3 adds. If I use my regular browser I can get to the cl site just can't post anything without getting the voice ver which doesn't work. All I am trying to do is sell a car!

 

well ive never used craigslist but i do know most sites only allow ONE ad...not multiples every day of the same ad


so my guess is youre banned for spamming

 

What are you talking about? only posted the car for sale once every other day. Which is allowed. Hardly spamming a grand toal of 3 posts in a week. Guess you didn't bother to read my post. Just jumped to conclusions. Apparently a lot of people have the same problem.

Personally, I have never used "Craigslist" but one of my friends is a master of using it, who unfortunately is not around. Therefore, I won't be able to help sadly.

 

It is weird. I have no idea what the issue is. I tried contacting Craigslist but got a sorry to hear you are having trouble using CL reply. it was obviously an auto reply as it didn't offer any clear answer or even explain what the problem is. I had problems with my first post. They have this voice verification where they call and give you a code you then have to manually type in. Why they need to do that in car for sale I dont know but whatever I tried that and the only thing is there was no place to put the code. I tried using tor and it let me post. I posted the add in accordance with what I believed the rule to be. Posted one sat, one on monday and one on thurs last week. Most people post far more often than that.I wasn't posting multiple time a day like the car dealers do on there. I am at a loss to understand what happened all the sudden. I only used Craigslist once before about a year ago and had no problems. As near as I can tell the system is entirely auto pilot. The community police the site. There is also no warning system that says you broke a rule don't do that again or else. It's a one strike and your out. There isn't a mod per say. if you spam or do something naughty you get flagged by the community. X number of flags gets your add removed. But I received no flags and don't think I am banned either. Just something tripped the auto system I think. just can't figure out what. I am on a number of forums and don't spam ever. CL seems to be a completely different animal. From what I understand it is possible to do nothing wrong and still have problems.I have never encountered anything like this. Sadly the real spam and con artists seem to have no problem on CL.

 

Btw my original. posts were not ghosted removed or flagged. They are still up but from a,week ago. so unless someone scrolls through about 10 pages they won't find my ad. It frustrating cause I see a used car dealer posting 8 adds a day in the for sale by owner. I am just wondering if anyone knows how to post so I get the option of getting email verification instead of voice. That is where the problem is. Once I post an add I have no problems. My ads don't get flagged, removed or ghosted. I just need to get e-mail ver instead of voice as there is no place to imput the code.

 

CL sucks,., and so do most of the people that use it.. and I mean that literally..

 

Weird, ive never had that problem. For me it is text verification. Are you using your phone or a computer? I don't think the phone is good for craigslist

 

It's reposting. You can't post the same ad over and over, even if there is a day in between. You might be able to delete the previous ones and do it.

 

I have posted to ebay motors with sucess. I just didn't put it as an auction. They have classifieds too. Craigslist can be a pain sometimes I have found too. Some trolls go through and flag posts like crazy for no reason and they have an overpost rule when I see REAL SPAM on their all day with no problem.
