Go do the James Randi Foundation test and win $1,000,000. There are also tons of small little challenges like that so if you go do them you won't have to work another day in your life. Unfortunately, no one's even gotten past the preliminary rounds yet.
The Amazing Randi has debunked psychics throughout the world, and his treatise on breaking wooden boards was brilliant, but he's not the end-all Psychic ability is a real and measurable phenomenon, and the experience itself is amazing and all-empowering Hotwater
I don't have real psychic abilities, I only have temporary ones. My angels only give them to me for short periods of time, and if I ever got uppity enough to try to get James Randi's money, I'm quite sure my angels would show me just how utterly un-psychic they could make me for all the world to see. However I have had some amazing psychic things happen to me when only one or two people were looking. Too bad James Randi wasn't there. Of course he probably would have found some rationalization for why it wasn't really psychic.
That's an empty statement. Just because you say something doesn't make it true. Talking peanuts are a real and viewable phenomenon. Wait, I have to actually show the peanut before I can say that.
Basically, this board really just belongs in the mental health board. Change, "I'm talking to spirits" to "I'm talking to voices in my head" Until you guys can produce non-anecdotal evidence (evidene that exists outside of your head) the only rational conclusion is that you're deluding yourselves. Sorry to be the voice of reason that ruins your supernatural parade here.
Also, you guys ever wonder why many "psychic powers" seem to run in families? It's because many mental problems are caused by genetics.
LMFAO You are a riot, DirtyVibe. Just listen to yourself ranting! LMAO Something tells me your real issues are something you're afraid to confront, and this ranting thread is just a cover for what's really going on... Of course, I'm probably just psychotic. LOL
Come on, DirtyVibe, what's this crusade of yours really about? You just thought you'd show up here and set all us loonies straight out of the goodness of your rational heart? No hidden agendas?
You're right I have an agenda. I want Randi's $1,000,000 all to myself. Seriously man, attack the ideas, not the person.
well, I read tarot cards and do occasional magic, I checked on the test, and they are no longer accepting open challenges. Also, I imagine the test is something along the line of the standard "guess which one of the five possible symbols is on this card" that gives a 20% chance of success through random guessing and magic tends to work much better in the 60 to 70% chance of random success range. Before you start randomly bashing try reading up on the reputable work by people like Crowley, Peter Carroll, or other authors who approach the topic from a scientific viewpoint.
Aren't you the one who said, "Also, you guys ever wonder why many 'psychic powers' seem to run in families? It's because many mental problems are caused by genetics." I'm perfectly willing to have a rational discussion with somebody who comes on as rational and truly willing to listen.
Fine call me crazy, but I bet you wouldn't dare call Jimi Hendrix crazy. especially here on the hip forums message board, where even today he's worshipped as a God Jimi who once told a reporter "I'm from Mars" and who claims while stuck in a snowdrift in upstate new york in 1965, a cone-shaped craft landed and an alien freed his car from the snow, and the same Jimi who regularly communicated with his close friends telepathically. Fine don't believe me, but I dare any man dispute the claims of Cosmic (The Starchild) Hendrix Hotwater
hendrix was a drug addict and commited suicide with sleeping pills. a huge douschebag emo-loser with a talent for the guitar
One does not need empathic abilities (which I have) to surmise you’ve got issues with anger management Also, I suspect you're a perfectionist - well too bad because the world is driven by nonlinear dynamics (or chaos) a condition which no doubt causes you much distress:nopity: Hotwater
Hendrix didn't commit suicide, he had an accidental overdose. I also don't see anything emo about him, his songs weren't whiny, he wasn't into self mutilation, he just did a lot of psychedelics.
I think you meant "accidentally" and "you're" and "retarded." One would think you'd at least be familiar with that last word...Hey! Those quoted words make a sentence! It must be supernatural! You should check with James Randi as to whether the chance of those words coming together like that is statistically significant.
Zengizmo, I wouldn't be too hard on him, at 19 I thought I knew everything as well, only to later discover, I didn't know my ass from a hole in the wall either. Hotwater
