I need some advice. I'm 35 years old and I think I want to go to college. I've been working since I was 12 and I'm the only one of my group of friends to finish high school, so they aren’t much help in this area. My home and cars are paid for and my wife (who is excited to be my "sugar mama" while I'm in school) has a kickass new job. I've started brushing up on all the core subjects. I'm pretty sure it's too late to start this year; I guess that's why I'm asking for help. You see, I don't know what to do, or expect. Do I just go to the admissions office and apply? Do I need to take the SAT? Or, is there some kind of placement test I can look forward too? I've tried looking up information on the websites of local colleges, but I've only been able to find info for high school and foreign students. Any information I can get right now would be greatly appreciated.
since you've been out of school for a long time, then most colleges/universities will suggest starting at a community college for your basics. I LOVE community college because it's cheap and I find that the courses are the same. I actually had more one-on-one help at the community college I went to. I just wish they gave out BS/BAs.
