Far out. KC is funk? I did not know that. I always liked Kc and The Sunshine band.

Disco and funk I guess ha ha... this isn't my area of musical expertise but this band always makes me want to dance lol

Earth, wind and fire are fun too... September is a great song to dance to too... and O'Jays I saw you posted, their song Love Train is great... we could use that concept in our crazy-ass world today with all the stuff that's been going on...

KC was never big on the Disco label being applied to his music.

Anyway,Disco and Funk could overlap. Disco could vary. Some disco songs could lean towards pop,R&B and then Funk. 'You Should Be Dancing' by the Bee Gees is an example of a Disco song that leaned towards Funk.

 

I started to understand that, Motion....you start to be able to pick out that onh onh certain beat in the songs......after listening to a few....

i always liked that song by the O'Jays, Jude....but there is no way i am going to hold some people's hands.....

This was on the top 200 funk list , as well, as some other Prince songs.

The above is in my itunes, but that's the only thing even close to funk that I'm currently listening to. I do listen to "funky" disco house music sometimes, from the likes of Dj Dan and others with similar styles. I also like some Parliament, such as:
