oi there! shooby here. just migrated from the mitten; looking for some kindred spirits and new connections. get @ me loves. also- anyone know of 20-30 acres for sale in ze area? any help would be much appreciated & returned. one love.
How goes it!? There's sometimes good spots on www.5000down.info but then again there's a lot of amazing acreage in the triangle it all depends on what your budget is. We are in the area and we do good but people are wanting crazy numbers right now. We know of a really special place on the top of a ridge that is within our grips, maybe joined forces could make it a reality...where about in hum are ya?
The thread you're replying to is so old! Lol. I would be really surprised if the member who started the thread is even here anymore. I lived in Arcata, CA near the university for a quarter in 2007. Really wonderful area. Lots of hip folks. Mostly a bar scene around the Arcata town square. I didn't really meet anyone while I was there, but that could be for any number of reasons. Anyway, good luck to you Humboldt-ers!
I lived in Arcata in 2014 and 2015. That place has a small Homeless Shelter. Arcata is a cool town. They have a cool food coop and the beach is just perfect at Manila and Orick.
Im not looking realy no arcata well. I help build the jolly giant complex. But where did you move off to? Ive been in most Of my life 40+ yrs
Where did you move to . I cant stay gone from here40 + yrs here. Ya i helped build the jolly giant complex at hsu So what are you into?
I moved to southern California. I'd rather not get too specific on location. Jolly Giant complex. I don't remember where that is to be honest. About the only six buildings I remember are the hall where my math class was, the hall where my computer class was, the hall where my wildlife class was, the gym, the admin, and the library. Well, actually now that I think about it, I can also remember all the places you could get food. They had a card you could buy at the outset of the quarter for I don't remember how much... a lot! But you were covered for meals and snacks etc. I bought more ben and jerry's than I'd like to have. And went to the gym less! Anyway, what I was into then was drinking and techno. While there's plenty to drink in Arcata (I remember one time I spilled wine on my good HSU hoodie), there isn't a whole heck of a lot of techno. I remember one event I went to where there was techno but not a good turn out. Perhaps I wasn't there long enough: only one quarter in the Winter/Spring of 2007. These days I'm not into much of anything. I do still go to the gym. I go twice a day for about 26/27 minutes each time. It feels good! That's about it. What are you into?
