Anti-grass people make me laugh

Ok is it just me or is a lot of the crap they tell you to prevent you from smoking really really funny? I mean come on I laugh every time I see those "above the influence" things on TV.

 

i just hate the fact that all they can think of now is just peer pressure and have those "my friend told me to smoke some pot...and i did...the next day they told me to eat my hand so i did and i feel like an idiot" well no shit your an idiot you just ate your hand. and i dont get why we are bad for showing people a great thing but people come to our door and shit craming their religion down our throats. stupid fuckin people these days i swear.

Your Sunday morning coffee might not be so much a pick-me-up, as a knock-you-down. Health authorities are worried New Zealanders are oblivious to health problems associated with daily caffeine intake.

Heart Foundation national dietitian David Roberts said studies had shown a link between high coffee consumption - more than five cups a day - and heart disease, because of an associated rise in cholesterol. There are also concerns about coffee affecting blood pressure and heart rhythm.

And if all that wasn't bad enough, researchers from John Hopkins University in the United States have found caffeine withdrawal symptoms include headaches, fatigue, decreased energy, drowsiness, depression, irritability and foggy-headedness.

Waitemata District Health Board's Robert Steenhuisen said it was amazing more New Zealanders didn't make the link between caffeine and headaches and insomnia.

"Every time things get stressful or they feel tired, they will have another coffee. Before you know it, the more stressful a situation, the more coffees people are having."

He said people trying to beat addictions for cannabis, heroin or alcohol often turned to coffee.

"I was a social worker on a residential programme assisting 25 people trying to beat addictions and they would go through 4kg of instant coffee a week."

The Heart Foundation said public education - rather than warning labels on coffee packets - was the best way to ease concerns.

"People have a choice, and they will just have to live with the consequences of their actions whether that be damage to their heart or liver or feeling irritable all the time and no sleep," said Mr Steenhuisen.

Aucklander Andrew Macky averages eight coffees a day and admits he's blase about potential health effects. "I have no other addictions. I don't smoke or anything. Just the coffee, and I enjoy it."

He admits he doesn't sleep until 1am most nights, but he doesn't blame the coffee.

"Five hours is all I need."

yea dude this kid is in the school nurse office and it has him sitting there with his whole fist in his mouth and he cant get it out...and he was mubling what he was saying while the nurse was translating what he said and it said exactly that. above the influence commerical

 

Yea and that other one with the guy running from the dog and hes like "yesterday my friends told me to smoke pot, and I did, and today they told me to run from this dog" So basically if u listen to your friends about smoking weed you no longer have a mind of your own and your evil friends will tell u to do stupid crap. Wow ur friends sure are dicks to pressure u into smoking weed, but if someone were to "pressure" someone out of smoking weed, theyre doing the right thing. And havent u noticed, what the hell else are any of those commercials doing than pressuring you to do what they say u should. People who take that crap seriously and dont find anything really strange about the whole deal are the real ones who cant think for themselves and who are being told what to do.

haha, i sat and waited for the whole thing to run through because i missed the first slide... it seemed to take FOREVER, but now i wonder... why the fuck did i not think of that? of COURSE he could have just flown in... jeez haha. i mean, sure, there'd be tons more resistance to deal with, but i think it could have been done.

they make them do somethn REALLY stupid because smoking pot isnt that bad and they know it........and if it was REALLY 5 times more harmfull thn tobacco......do you think theyd use it as a perscription drug....

Chrisus Jest........This reminds me of an anti-pot commercial I saw awhile back that waas really fucked up...There was this old lady sitting alone at a kitchen table by herself that was set for 2 with lots of food (the kinda stuff you see on a "nice family sunday dinner") and she just sits there looking sad for a little while and then there's this voice over that says something like "Why don't you just tell grandma that you skipped dinner with her so you could go get stoned?"....and fuck m e, that commercial, even just thinking about it makes me feel sick...its fuckin gut wrenchin...the perfect tool to keep people hatin pot smokers...I mean, no matter how much I wanna toke, I would never do that shit

 

last night i got high then went to dinner with my mom and grandma for mothers day. and bought my mom dinner. and they are not cool with me smoking.

 

The anti-pot commercials make me really angry and I change the channel every time they come on. I hate them b/cuz the dumbass people who have never even tried the stuff...really take it to heart. My sister believes all of them...but then she also voted for Bush! There's this other commercial with a girl that looks like a deflated blow-up doll and she's sitting on the couch. A guy starts asking her questions and she doesn't answer and then her friend interupts and says "she can't answer you" and he asks why and she says "she's been like this ever since she started smoking pot."....*sniff*sniff* I smell bullshit!
