As if the last one weren't enough, what would the world be like if everyone had no desire and no attachment? What would be the purpose of our existence? Who would grow and gather the food if we were all sitting in blissful meditation and oneness all the time? Would we transcend our need for physical nourishment and just live on pure energy? Would we all just merge into the Void? Please express your thoughts.
    Thanks!

The only thing keeping you here is attachment.

There will always be souls that come here for the experience of doing so.

Attachment is like anchors that hold you in place while you're here.

So what are you attached to? How do you know that attachment holds me here? Have you let go of attachment and gone somewhere else?

In the course of a spiritual journey, you will shed all the weight that you can so that you spiritual hot air balloon will someday clear the trees.

As you see them approach, you will let go of many things that were once dear to you.

    Anything to get airborne.

My attachments are helping others find out more about their own attachments. :)

Hmmm, it may just be me, but you seem to have an attachment to anti-zionism, too. If you don't mind answering, I'd like to know if you have any personal knowledge about where we would go if we lost all attachments. It seems that you consider reincarnation to be a fact. Do you have personal knowledge about reincarnation?

When you incarnate, it is the lower self that assumes the human indentity. The higher self kind of sits in the audience and watches what you do. Its a form of entertainment for the soul to be here. Not unlike a parent watching their "child" in a school play.

The higher self is unaffected by earthly involvement. It exists above it. The lower self gets new bodies, new lifetimes as they wear out. Not unlike you changing your shoes as they wear out along the path you walk. This path is one of self realization. It requires many pairs of shoes to complete.

When attachment to the world ends, the higher self withdraws from this theater and resumes it's own existance in the higher levels of the spiritual realm. Jesus, as an example.

This world is like Disneyland. Your soul comes here to enjoy itself but doesn't actually live here.

Your posts here remind me of the millions of words that I have read over the years from people explaining something that they have read about or learned by listening to someone else. It seems almost like you are saying "If you read the scriptures, they say if you do this, then that will happen." I'm much more interested in what YOU did and what YOUR experiences have been. I've read plenty of books and web articles that contradict and expound to no end on what can potentially happen to me if I do this or that. I feel that I am making some progress but it is the end goal that I really want to know about. I'm more interested in what people (you) know from their (your) own experience than in what they've read or heard.

    I just did. :)

At least as far as I can. My experiences are my personal property. They can't be shared as such.

This is an area where only personal experience will answer your questions. Nobody will ever be able to explain it to your satisfaction.

Thats why I invite people to work on themselves so they get the inner vision that dispels all doubt.

Everything else should be reduced in priority until this is accomplished.

Nobody lives like this so stop worrying about such some supernal state existing. It exists for nobody, has never and never will.

Since everything is just a part of all that is, the part of everything that considers itself as me finds it hard to believe that the part of everything that considers itself as you has anything that is "personal".

The idea of "personal" applies to the human "identity".

Though everyone is separate, we are all connected at the base.

You have two separate eyes, yet they produce one image.

    Because of where they're connected.

Once you realize this on a waking level, the idea of personal is no longer a prison.

It becomes like a room in a house. You enter it when you want to, but are no longer imprisoned in it.

"In my father's house, there are many mansions, many rooms"

Now, where have you heard THAT before. :)

Dateline NBC? LOL. Most of the teachings that I have read espouse oneness with separateness being an illusion, not a connection at the base. You are describing an entirely different concept. It is my belief that there exists only one thing and I'm not ready to change that. I'd rather picture it as no rooms, no mansions, just one thing that is. My true Self encompasses all (even your "personal" information and experiences). The illusion of "I" is the prison.

Not if you unlock the door.

The fact is most people have a hard time finding it.

There is a singular awareness. A "godhead". Each of us telescopes outward from this center, individuality increasing as you go.

You don't gain or lose anything by going back and forth, you just have to know how. :)

Life is the adventure you have chosen during this process of expanding and contracting. Not unlike a movie you'd watch to pass the time with during a loooong flight. Ha Ha.
