I wouldn't really care but it's the same one I reported twice about a month ago. They're going to cancel my account if I don't respond in 24 hrs. as 3 people from Romania have been trying to access it and they give info on their ID. I forward it to Paypal and they send me a nice reply saying thanks, yes it is a spoof and they take it seriously. If so why am I getting the same one a month later? I don't get it. You'd think with all the money they have they'd take care of it a little quicker. Maybe I'm just too illiterate to understand what all it involves.

Or maybe they didn't make any money off of it because nobody is that stupid. :p

    I wish.

But seriously, Paypal has no power to stop spoofed e-mails. Telling them about it won't do anything.

Doesn't it give them their IP address so they can find the person doing it? But then again I guess it's just a drop in the bucket when it comes to really caring. Just needed to vent anyways.

Same as the Nigerian scam. They just want your bank info. report it as spam, then delete.

Most mass spammers use a botnet of some sort to do their dirty work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botnet

yeah ip addresses can be spoofed. These investigations take time, I wouldn't expect it to be resolved in a month, not even 3 months.

I personally hate phishing attacks myself. Just forwarded one to Chase last week and yes they replied with that same tailered message. Don't expect much in the near future but it gave me satisfaction to report anyhow. :)
