Another Embarrassing Naked Moment

So another of our friends, Giuseppe, was having a beach birthday party. He was turning 15. The three of us already turned 15 a few months before this. Bart, Giovanni and I were all invited. Now the three of us will not bare anything "unusual" except our feet. Which is what we did. We had our khakis and polos, but went barefoot from our houses to the beach, and rolled up our pants a bit and stood in the shallow end of the water. We can't swim. And we don't like removing our shirts. So, Giuseppe and his die-hard friends were jumping off the high dive while we were down in the shallow end thinking, "Just watch these ninnies." Well, poor Giuseppe had a little mishap. He was about on his fiftieth time diving, but his shorts got caught on the plank. I remember saying, "And that's one of the many many reasons why we don't do the high dive." Giuseppe was squirming to get free, and he got free, all right, but he left something behind. Can you guess? So we rolled up our pants a bit more, and rushed out to tell him not to get out of the water, but by the time he figured out why, it was too late. He of course covered up, and since none of us can do heights UNLESS the ground is stable beneath us, we asked the lifeguard to retrieve his shorts, so she did, but when she threw them, they landed on Bart's face. That was funny. So we found a big rock nearby for him to hide behind and put his shorts back on. So after that, he took my advice not to remove his underwear when putting on swim trunks, and to tie them as tight as possible. Overall, not the best birthday, ending up naked in front of all your friends. But it was definitely memorable. Just not in a good way.
