my dad got tickets for a concert... two tickets. never talked to me about anything, just got them. they aren't a present or anything; he likes the band and just bought two. i don't like the band at ALL... but now he's making me feel like an ass if i don't go... which seems ridiculous, he knows i don't listen to the music and just bought a ticket and told me that we're going. i'm 18... am i a dick if i just don't go? it's just annoying that he bought a ticket without even saying anything to me, and then made it my responsibility to go "so the ticket isn't wasted".
I would forget about the band and just go because your Dad asked you to..and count it as "Dad time".......either that or find him a date or convince one of his buddies to go with him instead
Go, damn it! It's one little night out of your life for your dad. It really won't be as bad as you think..
hustle the ticket and tell him you lost it...lol im just kidding, thats evil... but yeah just i guess you'll have to suck it up buttercup..
Go and have fun...who cares if you don't like the band... It's something to do, somewhere to be. Would you rather have another day at home or a day at a concert?
At least your Dad was thinking about you , go and spend quality time with your father. Better now than never right. I hardly spent any time with my parents and i'm now 27 and they still don't want to spend time with me . You wanna know something i've cut the chain I'M the one who spends time with my kids and LIKES to take the girls places whether it be a small 2 day outing or grandmas house to the pool out for dinner etc. . My own mom didn't want to get me dressed for my wedding she'd rather my step mom do it. live life to the fullest and have a good time!! life is too short. You have 1 father and `1 mother. whether or not you get along , or not you can agree or disagree with them BUT they will always love you for who you are and what you have done they are HUMAN
