I'm in the middle of the second of the three. BDSM based, very hardcore. I love them mucho and recommend. Has anyone else read them?
Anne Rice's series about the Mayfair witches and the Taltoes, starting with the "Witching Hour" are very, very high on my list for wonderful writing. I've read almost all of the vampire novels; but as I said, in my heart nothing compares to the Mayfairs and their Taltoes. She also fairly recently - within the past few years - came public with writing only about religious, spiritual themes. I've read her book seeing through the eyes of Jesus's peers as a boy...which I found quite compelling. Has she written any erotica lately? Because I am going to be seriously shocked if she has. But then, I don't get out much. :computer: Anyway, I'm going to admit to being very embarassed and not knowing she had a pen name. Does she just have this one?
Thanks...I'll look up her stuff and check it out, tho' I'll admit to not being one for erotica really. Laurell K. Hamilton's work and Anne Rice's vampire novels both have parts I just skim & skip over.
Yes, I have read and reviewed them on my erotica blog. Check it out for other similar reviews and recommendations! http://thetinydeath.wordpress.com/
I love them would highly recommend them but wouldn't consider them "hard core" at least not in the S&M or BDSM sense. Very well written and explicit erotica though and quite kinky.
Finished Crimson's Captivation several weeks ago. Thought it was on par with Sleeping Beauty, but Crimson's had more depth -- a paranormal, historical, war erotic tale. On a side note, reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy now. Not erotic but his use of imagery is amazing.
I love erotic books but this was over the top for me! I had to stop reading the first one. I may pick it up again, but DAMN!
I've never read any of them to be perfectly honest. Think these books will be the first BDSM books I purchase for myself; cause I refuse to read 50 Shades Of Grey.
