I honestly feel spirital presence fairly often. In fact, sometimes I feel them watching me, or guiding me. Does this make me animist or schizoprenic?
you would know if your is a schizoprenic, i can tell for sure.. i am one and i also belive in spirits..
Any mystic has to at one point has to sit back and try to discern whether his/her feelings are authentic brushes with the divine or solipstic madness.. and to question what's real or not is probably the most healthy thing a person can do (in moderation). If it helps you make sense of the world and provides you with some peace, it can't be too much of a delusion..
some have said that schizophrenics are institutionalized mystics who haven't been properly guided. but they are bombarded by such far out experiences and energies, so alien to consensus reality that they are overwhelmed, and society is clueless as to how to direct their expanded awareness. but it seems like you just have your foot in the door to ur subconscious, or spirit realm or whatever you want to call it. as long as it doesn't overwhelm you and severely interfere with your everyday life (which you need to physically survive). it sounds like, with some guidance, you have the potential to make many self and spiritual discoveries. don't worry about it, your not crazy. try some meditation
I believe with what you said, about schizophrenics and "crazy" people of other sorts. I've wondered that many times myself, if they're not just more "conscious" people, who don't know how to handle what they're tapping into.
well it's not quite that simple. there really are mental illnessess. to put that in computer terms, both hardware problems and software bugs. but an interesting thing about that is that this doesn't meant they can't also sometimes be more sensitive to spirit friends that we all have. a mentaly challanged person may need more often the help of spirit friends and quite likely their spirit friends are there more often to try and help. =^^= .../\...
ive wondered this myself in moments when i feel a presence very strongly, but if im not suffering then its not like id care anyway
shrinks and your parents would tell you it's some mental distorder, poeple who sea things would say it's real ... meditation would help you know
It made me a Christian. In fact, I define God as a felt presence of a Higher Power "in whom we live and move and have our being". (Acts 17: 28). A lot depends on what these "feelings" are guiding you to do.: help old ladies across the street, sacrifice your neighbor's pet, etc.? Are these feelings harming others or yourself in any way? Are they leading your into situations you don't want to be in? If so, you might seek professional help.
