So my dad is going through andropause. He falls asleep after eating, is in a bad mood most of the time, gets hot and cold, and according to my mom his libido went down a lot. Well he was diagnosed with andropause, which is like the male menopause. I had never heard of it before, didn't know it existed. My mom is already menopaused at 48, and she got menopaused last year. She has a horrible pre-menopause from age 40 to 47. She grew-up in Africa so she got her period really early, at 9, that's why she got menopaused early too. My parents are getting old. It makes me feel old.
yeah, i don't think my mom has gone through menopause yet. she will be 50 in january. THAT makes me feel old. fucking shit.
I think men should get menopause and women should get womenopause, seems to make more sense that way, and avoids any confusion.
I had heard that there was a male menopause but didn't know it was called that. How would growing up in Africa make a girl start their period so early?
I don't care whether my dad cares or not.. he doesn't go on the Hip Forums.. and even if he did, meh.. Girls who grow up in warm regions get their periods early, not sure why.
Ok, that's interesting. My mum went through the menopause at about 52. She's 63 now and dad is 66. I can't believe my father is 4 years off 70. It was only yesterday that it was his 50th birthday party. Back then I thought 50 was old, now I see it as less so.
My mom is still going through pre-menopause and she is almost 48. I don't think my stepdad went through andropause.
That's kind of sad. That you don't care about someone else's privacy. If someone said something about me in a place I did not know about I would still be pissed. I don't think that excuses it.
My parents are both 54, my dad will be 55 in Feb. I have older parents then my fiancee who's 2 years older then me.
my mom menopaused at 44. she hadn't had a period before that since she was 40. but for some reason, my miracle brother chose to arrive in the world. after that, she was totally done.
My mom doesn't have her internal baby making machines anymore, so she never went through menopause. And my dad has been through a couple of mid-life crises in my lifetime, lol.
I don't think any of my dad's freak outs were ever too serious...he got really big into gambling on the lotto and was very impulsive for awhile. But more or less, my entire life I remember him fading in and out of naps all evening, so if it was anything different than that, it was a crisis. Haha.
