... sunrise is here on this marvellous day. Winter solstice is already an event of the past. Now that the days will be longer again, what do you plan to do with the extra minutes of daylight? Regards Gyro
have more time to play when i get up and still be able to take off later in the day and get back before it gets dark. i hope i'll be able to not spend as many days all day on line and more of them instead getting outside and wandering around. the problem for me is cities and having to live right next door to other people, yah i know, whine whine, but like i said, if we had decent transportaion to rural areas, not just in cities, to where i wouldn't have to indenture myself to owning a car, to live outside of them, i'm almost positive i would. before we had internet i used to go to libraries, and before all this 'terror' excuse to keep people form doing so, i used to go to university engineering libraries. i'm really not interested in "entertainment", but i do love seeing and exploring strange interesting places. and riding trains and buses to get there. the sun outside does make me feel good. at least until the days get too long and hot, and i once again become impatient for that to end.
i assume i'll continue to work through most extra minutes of daylight, at least for the next month or two.
Hello, more time to drive around with the cars without fiddling with the carbide lamps. Just to name one advantage. Regards Gyro
Have to drive for about 13 hours tonight. The north is flooded...so that will be fun. Then its snowing near home when I get to the mountains and have to go on one of the he UKs most dangerous roads... Glad there is there is a tiny bit more daylight.
Hello, hm, flooding, snow, mountains. That sounds like a bit of fun. I wish I could join the journey. Take care. Regards Gyro
Hello, yepp, it's 15C here at the moment. Santa will come in shorts and t-shirt . I guess the Cumbrians can do without frost in the moment. They are really fscked if it freezes now. Regards Gyro
I saw some images of wintersport areas. Quite green. Great excuse for starting the apres ski fun earlier
Hello, yepp. The other week they opened a new ski lift in the Black Forest. If I remember correctly they spent 10.4 million Euros to transport 2000 people per hour to the green meadows . Regards Gyro
