I don't believe that, not that i have any evidence to back up my disagreement but i just feel like if the water was deep enough and you broke it, you would be fine, of course a belly flop would rip you right open.

 

no seriously it would kill, hundreds of people have commited suicide by jumping off the golden gate bridge, it's the impact with the water that generally kills them.

 

But if you're commiting suicide you're not going to try and break the water are you? im not saying an impact against water can't but deadly but that if you pin droped or dived with your hands breaking the water that it could save you.

Again i understand i may be wrong and i can't back this feeling up with any proof or incidents, but i just think it is possible.

An impact on water at 10,000 feet would not be much different from hitting concrete.

 

What kills those people is the surface tension.
Something that can be easily broken by throwing, lets say, your shoe at it, then perform a dive.

I would try and meditate in the air, until my inevitable demise arrives.

accept that people have survived falling from great heights by simply landing on a tree or bush.

water is not as hard as concrete.. obviously.. so if you landed feet first with your toes pointed.. you might get away with just breaking your legs.
