Dreads are so much simpler! I post on some simple living forums and everyone was complaining about the environmental impact of the ridiculous amount and choices of shampoos and conditioners and personal care products. Also, to save money, a lot of people cut their own hair and their families but it takes a long time to learn. Me?

    Dr. Bonner's for everything
no need for cutting or styling!:D

Hell yes! Dr Bronners is just amazing! I use it for a body wash as well. What's your favourite? Mine's Lavender. Hate the citrus though.

Mouth wash?!? Wow xD This bonners bloke was a fugging geeenius :D

I <3 my rose bar, I've had it a month or two now, and the writing on it has barely washed away!! Yay for bonners yay for bonners ^^

The one thing I hate about soap though... Is when you wash it off, you get that icky stiff feeling? Anyone know what I mean? I know the residues in other shampoos take that away, but my DHHQ shampoo doesn't have the icky feeling either... Hmm... Might be the SLS? I dunno xD Just hate the clean-sticky-icky feeling of soap lol xD

Lol maybe its just me :p I don'tlike how I'd have to dilute the B shampoo, sounds complicated xD I don't do complicated :p I'd end up with artic snow dandruff LOL

I can't really expalin properly what I mean about the soap... When you wash soap off, how do your dreads or skin feel?

It's not like anyone here measures it out using a syringe or anything, honest.......

Yeah it's pretty good stuff all round TBH, and It's and excuse to smell like a peppermint for a few hours, which is as close as I ever get to pampering myself.

yeah fo sho! well, my dreads are completely free, i dont even use soap on them :)
i wonder if you post on the same simple living forums as i used to. if so, its a great place.

dragonvine, maybe you have hard water. it makes it harder to wash soap out. some people recommend an ACV rinse after soaping which softens the water.
for the record, i experienced residue no matter which soap i used, no matter how well i rinsed. and i have soft water.

Ok I was just wondering, where can you get Dr. Bonners at? Can you only get it online or can you get it from stores like Drug Mart, or Walmart?

is there a reason everyone calls it The KnottyBoy Poo bar?
cuz i use it too and i like it a lot.
i dont get why u would call it poo.
other than if its short for shampoo.

I'd have to say I'm on both sides of the fence here! For myself, dreads with low maintenance and low impact. But I'll be making my living working with other peoples hair that is or isn't dreaded and I love creating artistic styles, shapes, and textures!
