An important message to all going to ocala gathering 2008

Howdy Folks

Just a little info for folks going to ocala 2008, & a repost of barrys post about a permit being in place for the gathering.

Spoke to family onsite. All spent a long, rainy, and windy night but emerged with no known problems. Seed camp at Farles Prarrie w/ 50 or so at this point. A signed permit is in place, as far as I know...

Looking forward to seeing all soon.

As you folks, should know, that at the 1980 nationals, counsel consensed
to not sign any permits for any gatherings there after.
It was also consensed that any permits signed after the 1980 annual, for any gatherings, the gathering/s would not be considered a real family gathering.
So as barry posted, a signed permit is in place , Hence ocala is, & has been for years considered by most family not to be a traditional family gathering.
Sure family shows up, but still ocala is considered by most family not to be an offical gathering.
Just wanted to let you folks know the facts, that a non permitted event is better than a permitted event, less hassel, & less agro from the F/S & state police.

No permit has been signed and no single signature will be good enough this year.

Try being an un-aLONE wolf by finding a positive pack to run with for acurate info.

I Just Red A Post From Agr, And Mike Twofeathers Said, The Forest Service Has Been Raising Hell With Council, And Running Everyone Off, And Ticketed Vehicles, And Arresting People. Because Their Are No Focalizers Down There To Do The Legal Thing. And Anyone Going Down, Is Being Run Off, From Place To Place. The Family Is Being Harrassed, It Sounds Like No Joke.

Stop right there. Mike Twofeathers is in Missouri somewhere, and does not know anything more about what's going on in FL than the rest of us who are reading about it on the web. He also has a political agenda, and I wouldn't trust him for an accurate unbiased report even if he was there.
