Say there's a pool, it might be at a hotel or community centre and there's a sign saying no swimwear allowed. Or maybe no sign but there's already one, two, ten people in there and they're all nude. Do you assume that's the rule and join in the fun? Of course if you're reading this you're pro-nudity so you'd probably strip off and jump in. What if you're with a friend and your friend stripped off, do you follow your friend's lead? I wonder what is the strongest motivation to get someone to get naked who otherwise would not. Peer pressure, the desire to conform, not wanting to be a rule breaker. What do you think?
I can see age being a major factor here. A grown adult makes up his/her own mind but a kid or teenager who's used to being told what to do, following rules and not wishing to get in trouble may be more complaint.
I agree, it’s a behavior. We are a nudist/clothing optional couple. Most pools we are in are considered conversation pools, where people socialize. Signage is there generally to protect minors. We have been in pools that had no signage at all and my wife removes her top. Full nudity is reserved for clothing optional resorts. Use discretion when needed, but embrace the freedom of nudity as well.
