I just wonder how Skip feels about us doing this. The image is on MY server, so, it can't use any Hip Bandwidth...? Xaos? Any idea about that?

You are more then welcome to embed image tags in urls. It is one of the great new features. As for remote images...size and depth doesn't affect the board at all, but posting large (shape or file size) images may hinder some users' experience. Btw you can embed urls in lots of things now! <-- Click the smiley for an example!
