Amsterdam for new years? anyone done it?

hey guys, was planning a trip to the dam for this summer but exams and timetables didn't really agree with out trip so we are thinking of celebrating our new year out there. has anyone been there for new year before? any cool stories or info will be appreciated.

 

I went for NY a couple of years ago, and it was the experience of a lifetime. People set off fireworks EVERYWHERE. Stock up on your supplies early, though. The coffee shops don't stay open late.

 

Book accommodation, before you head off. its a very busy time in Amsterdam, but its a fun time. plenty of excitement no stories haha, don't make plans for the dam.because when ya get there.you'll forget them.just make sure about a place to stay, enjoy:ssmokeit::2thumbsup:
