I am mixxing Happy Frog soil conditioner with native soil and Foxfarms potting soil. Is that a good enough grow medium? I was told I should add crushed glacier rock,is this true??? Just curious.......
Not familiar with Happy Frog but FoxFarms has great soil. You want a nice airy soil that when squeezed in a ball will slowly release. It has a great (for lack of a better term) earthy smell One word of warning is to be careful adding to the FoxFarms soil as it is usually prefertilized to begin with and at times can be a bit much for seedlings and real young plants to handle. Never heard of crushed glacier rock being an additive. Shells, lime, sand, peat, gravel, but not specifically CGR. Hmmmmmmm.... Did they mention why?
Thank U Bud Bill,Happy Frog is a soil conditioner made by Foxfarm you can see it on their website. I read something about the crushed rock in Jorges grow bible,I will have to thumb back through and find it I think it has to do with the Mineral content. Thanks again.
FF ocean forest is a complete soil for growing, check out my gallery the oldest pics were grown with FFOF exclusively, with FF nutes started after a couple weeks in the grow room. MJ loves FF!!!!!!>D
