I didnt like either one so I didnt vote. Although the scene in the remake where the baby sitter goes into the closet was pretty damn cool, but other than that, nope, didnt like either of them. To each their own I guess.
yeah same here. i really couldnt decide which one was better. i think they were both good in their own ways. def not my fav horror movie of all time (either one of them) but i think they are equally as good as each other.
gelflingwings, I agree the remakes were not very good but there was one scene in Amityville II: the Possession that was quite disturbing. The scene involved the son Sonny Montelli (who was possessed by a demon) who forced his younger sister into an incestuous relationship. The scene was surprisingly powerful considering the subject matter h
Ok, I voted for the new one, I rented them both and watched them back to back, starting with the original. Hate to say it, but I like the re-make better.
it was so long ago when I saw the first movie that I don't really remember it. My daughter rented the the 2nd movie last week. She also has the book but I haven't read it yet.
I liked the old one better, but the new one had a far more attractive lead with Ryan Reynolds. I must stress that old horror movies are the best... they were the original ideas. For example, zoombie movies...no one can make a good zoombie movie anymore, Romero is the only one allowed to make them.
bullshit!!!! romero makes good zombie movies, but theyre not great ive only seen the remake of this movie, and i didnt really like it that much, so im not voting
The old one. I just think that a pig running around is way scarier than a little girl. pigs are terrifying!
disapointing is the word.... this movie was shit to me... had only one good scene... and that is when the little boy sees that dead chick in the mirror.... talk about tripping.... lol.......
