American Idol is the worst show EVER!

It sucks....it's so bad....it's so unbelievably bad.......I can't believe people wach that shit. We're trying to ban serial killer movies in Ontario, but the mind droning American Idol is loved and considered WHOLESOME? PLEASE! They feed you the same stupid crap season after season, and take up the whole show with filler like "Let's see what happened last week" and these fucking gay videos they shoot. And having a whole new show just to show the results? They are sucking people dry. Everyone is stupider having watched that show. Why don't you people go do something important. You think you know if someone can sing? You don't know shit! And who fucking cares anyway, it doesn't matter. They can't write songs or make any kind of meaningful music. IT MAKES ME SO MAD!

My girlfriend always watches it. She's fucking hooked. I sat quietly and took it until I saw them singing and pointing their finger at a fucking dog. That is the lowest of the low. That isthe gayest thing I've ever seen in my life. At that point I had to forbid her from watching that show. I never tell her what to do, but I'll be damned if I let my girlfriend become a fucking drone with the rest of you. This is the kind of show we should be banning. Shows that make you stupid, make you superficial, destroy your braincells. This kind of show is whats wrong with society......

I agree FNA, we get it screened in the UK.
Infact I think us Brits invented this show.
I hate the UK and USA versions equally.
I can think of a million other better things
to do than watch drivel like that. LOL

 

How can a TV show have a sexual preference. (Such as the two or three times you refered to the show as "Gay.") I can't take people too seriously who use the word "Gay" as a generic insult. I'd rather watch American Idol, which as an inatimate object, has no sexual preference.

I love the show. But yet, it is somewhat queer.

 

I don't see much of a point to reality TV. I mean, how much can you watch people posturing for dominance - and is this real life? I certainly would expect more of myself then just randomly stabbing people in the back for my own gain. Sounds kinda, oh, sociopathic? I see enough sociopaths in during the day, why watch them on tv.


American Idol is pretty bad. The worst part is most people watch it for the begining auditions. You know, where they tear people apart. People laughing at other's discomfort and misery. Good tv, eh?

OK, I apologize for using the term 'gay'. Usually I do avoid it, cause it's a pretty weak term to use as a derogative. Like I said, sometimes I rant......It just seems like a fitting phrase to use in descibing this show. It's juvenile, but it makes the point.

 

i never watch the show. but the try outs are hilarious.
one time i saw one guy try to sing "papa was a rollin stone" and did all of the voices.
he is now my hero.

 

One of the best things about TVs. They have an OFF button. You can even use a remote, if you don't want to get up. There is more bad stuff than good on TV, so USE that button on your remote.

Then you don't have to freak out.

 

I think if I were super gay, I would enjoy that show even more than I do now!

 

It is total garbage I agree! You know I have never watched that trash yet find myself subjected to countless promos through the media who attempt to pass mention of it during "news" broadcasts off as being newsworthy.

There just selling a product and a bad one at that.

Of course a tv show can have sexual pref.....look at Oprah(gay men, middle aged women) are geared and targeted. As a matter of fact (not opinion) most day time T.V. is targeted at gay men (which is o.k.), straight women (which is also kosher)
and the unemployed which is costing us all alot of money)....so yes....by all means turn the Capitolist pig-bellied, anti-consumer advocating, hypnotic, mindnumbing, wellfare wheel-of-fortune, fuzzy, electric whore, we all call the t.v. off and swing it.....yeppppp....swing it like this weeeeeeEEE out the WINDOW!

yeah pop idol is shite...i think its boring and well im not into that music anyway, but the funny thing is, here in the UK they've had all these pop idoly shows, and the winners don't really get anywhere (exept for some), they just end up splitting up or doing crappy cover songs
