But my nomination for American Dumbass is John Kerry, for being such a clueless moron POSEUR... trying to pander to American gun-owner voters by acting like he's a real hunter... and making up a totally bullshit story that maybe he thought was convincing, but no hunters or gun owners did.

For British Dumbass, I nominate Tony Blair, who was at the helm when Britain banned gun ownership outright -- as though anyone with half a brain or more couldn't see that it would not prevent criminals from getting and using guns. He got to stand by as Britain's gun/crime/violence rates have gone sky-high, according to all kinds of news stories I've read.
