    I am assuming a lot of people have seen this. I think it was one of the most beautiful movies I ever seen, that deals with people and how they view the world around them. The actors/actresses did a remarkable job in acting like everyday people, and they were easy to relate to.

    Oh man you have to see it, it is such a great movie, prolly one of my favorite along with A.I. and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

    American Beauty was (is?) incredible. Once again, Kevin Spacey TOTALLY delivers :D Actually the whole cast was a perfect selection - what a rare treat.

    I believe its a bit overrated, but entertaining.

    I could have done without the excessive dream sequences the alleged pot that cost 2,000 dollars for what would be 60, the fast food job that he got...the kind of cliched neighbor dad

    I thought it got pretty unrealistic towards the end, but was worth seeing.

    i prefer the directors current series "6 feet under" to this movie.

    Seamonster, I love 6 Feet Under.. one of my favourite TV shows! Each episode is like a movie itself... beautifully scripted, acted & filmed. There's nothing else quite like it.


    I love American Beauty too... easily one my favourite films.

    I found it to be a bit too disturbing for me. The only "normal" people in the film were the gay neighbor couple.
